Stuart Pearse has to be raging after that game, two perfectly good goals flagged for offside.  For unders backers though we owe those linesmen a large drink.

I see there's a free tip up for the 9:30 neffle, here:

http://www.bettingemporium.com/tips/index/49

Even Fred-favourite, Carl Cheffers gets a mention

Seems to be strongly fancied. The bet, I mean. I've no idea about the writer's opinion on the aesthetic merits of Carl Cheffers.

Worth a bit of fun for Fred?

I definitely prefer that side. My only personal concern is Washington's poor fourth quarter scoring stats, which, given how they've often been behind, I would expect to be better. Compare, for example, Tampa Bay and Chicago, who've had poor seasons, too:

http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/4th-quarter-points-per-game

The reasoning seems persuasive nonetheless. I'm having a bet anyway, but happy to hear thoughts as to whether I should have more.

To be fair, he is wearing 96 in the Texans game...

Why not? Looks good to me, & Tighty is not around (he's prob watching Mrs Brown & quaffing Ferrer-Roche), so I have made an executive decision.

We have £33 @ 10/11, BMU, OVER 50.5 points, Eagles @ Skins.

The line had moved to 51 everywhere else. That's no good, key number, see?

if anyone wants a small stakes punt for the NFL tonight

- we need the Eagles to win to stay in the hunt for the NFC Title and then the play offs

- they are 7 point favourites against the Redskins, having been -9 earlier in the week

- the redskins have nothing to lose, start RG3 and if they click could make it tricky

there is the basis of a first TD bet in

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24899675/lesean-mccoy-doesnt-mind-ceding-goal-line-work-to-chris-polk

http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/philadelphia-eagles-at-washington-redskins/first-touchdown-scorer

although of course the Eagles receivers have to be factored in against the redskins pass defense, if you read the article there isn't too much logic to seeing McCoy jollied up and Polk at 14-1 given their split of goal-line work

i would have thought Polk 8-1/9-1 was about right. very few of our books have factored in what the eagles run game has been doing last few weeks vis a vis the carries of the running backs in the red zone

I chanced £10 on Mr Polk, First TD scorer. @ 14/1 with Wm Hill, too.

TY TY, & gl all.

I'm not watching, chief. Have just come back from WHL and straight over to late-reg at the Broadway.

It's recorded for tomorrow.

McCoy gets the first TD.

Bugger. (Official).

Still, it gives the lead to the Eagles, which is good, I think.
