Just reread the first dozen or so pages for the first time since I read them in 2012.

Got a bit teary eyed to be honest.

Was such a great laugh for a long time.

Can it just be left open and people can still post their fancies in it? All the accounts can be locked up, the daily round up and monthly round up can all be dispensed with. So like with any other thread, nobody is in charge as such.

In any event, well done Keith for the idea and everyone else involved in running it, particularly Tighty and Mere. It was magnificent while it lasted. Quite simply, one of the best threads I've ever read on the internet.

I do think if we are going with my other sports threads idea, this thread would have to die.

Otherwise the other threads and this one would split the traffic and both would suffer.

If my suggestion isn't taken up, this could be left open without the bureaucracy for sure.

Ha, seeing Eso reading this right now reminds me of the Walsall bet(s) fiasco.

Fun times.

Even before Camel wrote, I was thinking it was so good natured here for so long.

Whatever we do, we can't be dropping it just before Cheltenham though.

Shame we aren't getting TIghty updates at the mo, meant we missed Formula 1's latest sigining.

So I'll do an update on Tighty's behalf

Hold on, got a pic somewhere.

Something went horribly wrong there, this is better

Luckily, naff all sport happens at this time of the week, and what little there was got missed in the palaver, so the grand totals are as we were at the start of the day.

So back to the pictures, not sure we even need a car

Haha I don't punt at all now as many know but still read tft every day and would be gutted to see it stop!

Anyway the Walsall coup (first one) was confirmed by an elder (you) after your mate the saddlers fan agreed they were in free fall but then found promotion form as soon as pop's hard earned was on and the full reverse Eso was born....

Back to business after all the Politics.  Stoke at odds against today look far too big against an over rated Hull side.  Think there is a bit of an over reaction to Hulls 7 points in last 3 games (lucky last minute win against 10 men qpr, 2-0 win against Lambert's last game Villa and a point against out of form Man City.  Redarmi has said all season how poor Hull are stats wise, backed them to go down etc.  No way, even with a couple of Stoke injuries, that Stoke should be anywhere near odds against for this game (remember 6/5 is the price for the home team for two teams of equal ability.  Stoke are edging towards 6/5.  Not sure if we are bothering with fred bets but i would be recommending having £50 on at 11/10 and £100 at 6/5 or bigger should it get to that price.  2.14 currently on bf.

At the end of the day, despite all the egos and testosterone that flies around here, my life would be emptier without this thread, and I hope it continues.

It's the huge egos on here that are the main issue particularly in the last 12 months or so. I'm amazed the thread has lasted as long as it has tbh.

Money talks.  A lot of people have made a lot of money out of this thread believe me.  The only people that should be happy it is potentially stopping are the bookmakers.  As Camel said TK has made upwards of £5k betting in pennies effectively so if you start doubling bet sizes on here and adding zeros onto the end of them in some cases then the amounts of cash this thread has actually made people over 3 years is quite amazing.

I'll be posting all my pre-season F1 bets Sunday evening Smiley

Still recommend getting on Nico Rosberg to win the title at 3/1 or above though, I got nearly 4/1 on the Betfair Exchange Smiley

P.S. Please don't stop this thread ahead of my first full F1 season with you guys!! I need to keep bringing Motorsport up the profit list  Tongue
