Second race at aintree looks a spectacular EW race. The odds on fave seems to be a Cheltenham horse and doesn't seem to have any experience of a track like aintree. Not knocking the horse but can't have it at odds on.
Not sure how juveniles that ran at Cheltenham generally fare at aintree but I would be happy to oppose the Fred winter runners. Triumph horses have done well but I would prefer something fresher (though triumph horses have had a week longer than in normal years) that seems to be campaigned for this race.
Step up Bristol de Mai and Intense Tango. Both have been racing at the top level with decent form and both missed Cheltenham. The prices don't seem that out of line, but with it being a festival, we can have a good 'dirty' EW bet here.
Recc £20 EW on intense tango @ 14/1 with BMU 1/5 odds (12/1 with £3.65 1/4 odds)
£15 EW on Bristol de Mai @ 8/1 with BMU ( can get 9/1 1/5 odds with satan Jones and 8/1 1/4 odds with £3.65
Please get a second opinion before proceeding here. I can put them on with £3.65 for you if you want.

AP McCoy. 3 Days to go?
We could be looking at the last three days of the great mans career. All of a sudden, its come round quite quickly.
I was thinking during the week how he was feeling going into the weekend, and about his ride in the National.
Until the racing in Fairyhouse last weekend, I thought he hadn't been riding at his best, and these farewell parties on a daily basis were taking the edge off the great man, but some of his rides seem to dispel those thoughts. However, he looks and sounds like a man that really doesn't want to stop. He knows he has caused such a fuss, he has to stop, but clearly he feels he has plenty more rides in the tank.
Forget all the trends and statistics that suggest Shutthefrontdoor can't win, and be objective, and we are probably looking at a worthy favourite for the GN on Saturday, but come Saturday, for once I would be more concerned about how the bloke on top is feeling rather than the horse.
Here we have a bloke, the best jockey we have all seen, with the entire racing world watching, thinking, it may be his last ever race. It's also the biggest race of the year. Almost everyone will have backed him, even if for a token amount. The pressure must be enormous, even he must be a little nervous, probably more than he has been his entire life. Add in the fact, that deep down, he really doesn't want to quit.....
In reality the next couple of days are vital to his mind set. Blow a few big rides, and he will be shot to bits by the time we get there, I think.
Today is probably the best book of rides I can remember for AP in a long time, and he will be buzzing.
In the first he has Three Kingdoms. Been beaten by the favs in the Arkle but looked previous to that to need 2.4m. He is the only one of the Arkle mob to have won over 2.4m, albeit over hurdles but when he got beat by Vibrato Valat , he was making inroads hand over fist at the end, suggesting he would have won over further.
The favourite has yet to win over 2.4m after a couple of attempts, and whilst improving at Chelters, has a less experienced jockey on him today.
I think we should start the wagon rolling and have a miserly £10 on AP to get his potential farewell off to a flier.
Following this McCoy is on the odds on fav Hargam in the next. Looks a shoe in to me, but as ever I expect I shall be playing ew on something juicer.
Then he is on Hoywell, also the fav, followed by Jezski in the next, who is currently second fav.
Later he is on two more second favs, which could quickly become favs if a few of these others win(think Ascot, Frankie), and all of a sudden we have a super confident Mr McCoy going into Saturday, with the mindset of a winner, and in the right place to go out in a blaze of glory.
So for me, today is the day that determines if we will bid adios to AP in the next 3 days, and a little bet to boot. GL AP.

As we all know Augusta is a "form horse" course, with clear correlation of historic form compensating for current momentum and form. A few players are always worth of consideration; Couples, Scott, Cabrera etc always mentioned.
My preference is for the eternal bridesmaid Lee Westwood. Since 2009 and his second coming he's become imo a course specialist. His form reads 30/11/43/2/11/3/8/7 - been battling with best way to play him all week. 13/8 Coral Top 20 looks ok, although I am leaning towards 50/1 Ew bfsb 7 places. His 2015 form is solid if not spectacular - he's in good nick, 5 top 20s from 7 starts and one missed cut latest which probably impacts proce slightly.
The problem with later is his obvious inability win a major making the win part -Ev when backable at 60/1 on machine but the old romantic in me doesn't think he hasn't got a major in him.

That's a great Post, Adzy.
I was - gently & privately - taken to task recently by a man of great wisdom for my unbridled admiration of AP's skill & longevity, as I had him down as "straight as a die".
It seems that might not be quite the case, & he has shown an ability to give his mounts an "easy" when it suited connections.
Fair enough, but if he's not quite the angel I thought he was, he is still the greatest Jump Jockey any of us have ever, & will ever, see.
NH racing will seem a little emptier next season without the great man, so we should savour his few remaining rides.
I always regretted not watching Piggott more than I did once he had his enforced holiday - he was never quite the same afterwards - & I'll certainly miss AP.

His putting has been good so far this season.
2012 – Ranked 175th on tour for strokes gained putting
2013 – Ranked 168th on tour for strokes gained putting
2014 – Ranked 65th on tour for strokes gained putting
2015 –
Ranked 28th
on tour for strokes gained putting (after 7 events)
Looks like an improving picture.
I know we got 15/8 last year on the top 20 for Westwood, no one has been that silly this year. I had a small interest on the outright.

Don't get me wrong, much as I admire the man, I have seen him "exercise discretion" when easing off far too soon etc.
I spent half of the last 20 years trying to get the man beat, but sanity, and profits prevailed, the moment I stopped trying to take him on at every opportunity.
My record at backing him is pretty poor, but I have total admiration for his craft.
I'm pleased to see he is far more camera friendly these days, but hope that he loses that wooly reluctance to tell it as it is, when he makes a career as a pundit.
For now, I hope to see him boot a few home as we wave him adieu.

Morning Tighty.
Sadly Delbonis lost in 3 yesterday to Anderson.
Regarding Westwood. My brother seems to have backed Westwood in every major for 15 years and has caused us much merriment. He is at the point that he has to keep backing him as he feels he is owed one. For me I can see that he might be a top 10 bet, or top Englishman but I could never back him to win a major.

Don't forget WH are money back if 2nd, so would be best to get some picks in the value races. I like Bristol De Mai quite a bit, not particularly against the favourite, but is surely overpriced now the fav is short. EVS yesterday for the fav.
Not quite sure if to go with hargam or BDM, but devilment also surely not a bad shout with the offer too.
