Do you not think they're more likely to give McCoy some kind of special award, and possibly name one in his honour, too?

I think you must be right mate.

TBH he did nothing of note this year, bar retire.

bbc don't even cover racing any more.  McCoy has won the award before hasn't he?  The year he won the national?  Can't see how/why he would win it again this year.  Seems a cracking lay that short to me.

Hmm, McCoy. Will he get a nomination or just handed the lifetime achievement thingy?

Is there any chance the Beeb won't include Hamilton in the final ten this year? If they do you'd have to think he'll win again. He pissed it last year, when Rory was favourite, almost twice as many votes. Brits love their motorsport.

The prices don't tally somehow. If he's 1-7 to win the F1 shiz, how can he be 9-2 to win SPOTY? Because he might not make the final ten? I mean it's not like there's anything else major coming this year sports-wise.

What are the chances of the Amir Khan-Mayweather fight happening? And how would it be priced up? Any value in the 80-1?

Last year Mcllroy was 2/7 hamilton was 9/2 (  i was on at that )

The Tabloids had Hamilton cira 46% of the vote. I checked reader polls before betting

This is a very good bet. Arm chair fans doing the voting . Not sport experts
just fans watching F1 all season sitting at home. The same Viewers doing the voting.

Just a thought

Fingers crossed

Mayweather has said that he is fighting in September, and Khan can't fight in September, because of Ramadan.

Loads of us were on Lewis @ 14/1+ last year, so it worked out well for us.

Thankfully Tikay wasn't involved in the voting, either Grin

Would have thought McCoy was nailed on for this one -  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Sports_Personality_of_the_Year#Special_Achievement_Award

Nevermind this SPOTY talk... Which one of Marwan's are you on for the Chester Cup?
