Thanks for the kind words all. I won £1000 on that bet, which is the most I've ever had from a single bet. Until the Force India season points bet is settled anyway
Is it bad that I was routing for Heidfeld when he was in second place? I guess I care about Mahindra too much
Not sure if the fan boost comment above was sarcasm, but it is fans giving a boost to their favourite drivers. Read more here:

This might seem a little odd to some, but part of Formula E's remit is to be a test arena for new and unusual ideas. It's all-electric racing, a brand new concept, which makes it the perfect arena to introduce other new concepts too. Some will work, some won't, but they all have the right to be at least tested. The current regulations, including fan boost, will be analysed at the end of season three.
As for the on screen graphics, they are from the FIA World TV feed and not ITV. The FIA are aware they need to be improved, but they're tied into a contract until the end of this season. I personally don't think a radical overhaul is necessary, but some improvements do need to be made - quite often there is way too much information on screen, particularly when we're on board with a driver.
Well done, and well deserved for the work you put in here!!!*
I often miss most of the stuff, but I'm sure you've paid for a few summer holidays over the course of this season, Peter.
Lots of '!', just for Tikay

Just one question:
Tighty do you make money betting on NFL? (honestly)
Bad day, kush?
You should stop reading the daily fail before you hit Blonde
It's a totally genuine question. I think he has huge knowledge of the sport but is bad at betting on it.
Yes I do ok thanks. It's taken me three and three quarter years of posting daily on this thread to be called out publically for being crap, so I haven't done too bad.
** climbs onto soapbox **
I've got the hide of a rhinoceros after some of the crap that has been sent in my direction on here over 10 years but am now not too likely to put NFL thoughts on here having been embarrassed. You'll no doubt be able to celebrate this at a street party but the wider point is that we don't call people out on here, please. People being called out for making bad bets etc has seen several people leave the thread from time to time.
The good thing is that the thread should be self-filtering. Everyone will have people they rate and people they don't rate and everyone can choose who they follow. The thread is a shadow of its former self unfortunately and a few hotspots of frequent ideas apart (Peter on motorsport and the nfl ideas most notably) we don't have a broad a range of ideas and a lot of great posters don't put ideas up for various reasons, unfortunately
As I seem to have a character flaw for pushing water uphill I spend some time most days asking questions, seeking opinions and putting ideas up, however half-formed. There will be duds in those opinions and ideas. I have about 20 ideas a day i could post, its inevitable there will be stuff that is plain wrong.
In this instance in midweek i asked for opinions about the 49ers +7 (i've previously had a bet accepted for them to finish 4th in their division this year) and Jets +9. The Jets +9 had support and the bet was placed. The reaction to the 49ers +7 was more mixed including your late comment and so, the process working, the bet didn't get placed. Thats all that needs to happen. I don't need to be dug out about it 24 hours later, thanks
Back when i was doing the daily reports, whuich i stopped because of minimal interaction, we never called out people for bets that lost. sometimes they are bad bets, sometimes good spots that didn't win. Everyone knows when there is a loser but the aim has always been to limit constructive adverse comments to before the bet is placed and not afterwards and not make people feel uncomfortable and reluctant to post ideas. Thats what has happened here.....
in the meantime, show me how its done, and put some regular recommendations up. Whether from you or anyone else thats the lifeblood of the thread, which is currently hooked up to a transfusion mechanism.
** climbs off soapbox, goes off to start more desperate threads **
As others have said, keep posting all your NFL stuff.
Between stopping the freefall, and bad betting, obv
Definitely please keep posting and apologies for being a dick after 3-4 too many glasses of scotch. It was just something that interested me because I bet NFL more than anything else, win more than on anything else and disagree with your view on the spread more than on anything else. Idiotic way to approach it and I'm genuinely sorry.
Fair play to you Kuku, appreciated.
Tighty does so much here, he has put such a lot of effort into Fred, so I'm always going to defend him.
Move on, next case.

RWC semi-final, SA will be keeping it very tight. They have two people who carry in the maul Louw and Bismarck du Plessis. First tryscorer market: 33/1 Louw and 45/1 Du Plessis are both good bets. My preference is for Louw, maybe a tenner (freely available).
Good luck to all and have a good day!

Australia were lucky against Wales. Had Scott Williams, Jonathan Davies or Cory Allen been fit then I honestly believe we would have won. Had Wales been playing against Argentina then I think, on a neutral venue, Wales would have been slight favourites, 4/5 - 5/4 - 20/1 the draw.
Australia were very lucky against Scotland. No point harping on about it, had the last minute decision been made in the first minute then nobody would have mentioned it. It wasn't though and Scotland were out. Had they not been then I would have made Argentina favourites against them, maybe 4/7 - 7/4 - 20/1.
I can't for the life of me see how Argentina are 5/2 against Australia tomorrow?
Okay, Hooper missed the Welsh game and Pocock missed the Scottish game. Both are playing but Argentina did beat them this time last year and won out in South Africa recently so are clearly a team on the up.
Suggest £25 at 5/2 with Smarkets, if you haven't got an account and want some of mine let me know.

I don't, however, blame you one bit for ceasing those wonderful Daily reports. They were a work of art, but people took them for granted, & rarely commented.
Indeed ,they were works of art , but apart from "great write up Rich" there is very little to say , it is not apathy by the forumites , just that a list of our current positions doesn't lend itself to interaction.
