How does a successful business that is obviously  its lowest ebb for many a year, with no bright clouds on the horizon, let its manager openly act like he calls all the shots?

I find it hard to believe that whilst seemingly in freefall for so long AW is allowed to talk like he decides how long he stays.

It beggars belief that billionaire shareholders allow this.

But then I have been amazed he has been kept on for the last 5 years........what do I know.

We really need a "shakes head in disbelief" emoji.

Maybe one of these days you'll realize that AW has the job for as long as he wants it.

Durrr...yes, of course, but like the vast majority of our fans that aren't blinded by a strange misplaced loyalty to a man clearly now only thinking of himself and his ego, I don't think it is right.....

If you really think that the vast majority of our supporters want him to resign I would suggest that you might be labouring under a misconception.

Not everyone agrees with you Adz - and those that don't have not necessarily taken leave of their senses as you tend to infer.

That just sounds......crazy.

All good things come to an end, but surely he's in grave danger of royally outstaying his welcome?

A social media analysis would suggest most people share Adz's opinion by a long way. Not sure how you've decided that the majority don't want him to resign?

There don't seem to be many backing him to stay on as far as I can see.

Indeed. You only have to look at the numbers on this thread for and against........

Even my old man, as stubbornly loyal as Ralph, is pretty much there. Its only his inherent need to have a different opinion to me that stops him openly agreeing AW has done his time.

There is no shame in admitting you are now in the minority who truly feel he has anything left to offer in his current role.

I said VAST majority which is different from majority - I don't think it's anywhere near the 80/90% that seems to be being suggested.

If you or I owned one of the world's greatest sporting franchises, would we really take a blind bit of notice of what people say on Facebook and Twitter?

I know I would not, and I can't imagine any rational owner would. The thought of a business being run by social media and Team Armchair is abhorrent. Good businesses are never run or managed by public opinion.

That's fair comment and might have merit, but my point is that no business or Board of Directors is ever, like never ever, going to listen to views expressed on social media. If it were your business you would not, fo sho. No reputable business would, it's a crazy notion.

You don't seriously think a successful business would ever allow itself to be swayed by views on social media, Shirley?

I would agree with that.

I would never agree - nor would you - that a successful business should ever listen to what social media tells it to do. It's a preposterous notion.
