Just loosening up with a few shoulder rolls. Important to be warm ahead of repeated Gallic shrugs intended to explain how exactly I reached that street with
that hand.

Gg, unfortunately.
Folds to the SB who jams about 9bb...I call in BB with
. Up against
.
flop....brick the lot.
C/O jams 10.5bb. I call from the BB with
and am up against
.
5 on the flop, and again on the river.
MP opens from plenty, I peel
from the SB from 25bb, BB calls.
checks through.
I lead about 45% pot, BB calls, OR folds.
River
I jam for pot, BB calls with
.
Probably spew from me but think he's only calling the river with
or
in his hand?
*****
In better news, Ian got through the turbo and is playing about 45bb. I will be back home in time to iron some shirts for the week ahead and get back to the real world.

Father qualifies through the Turbo.
Father goes considerably deeper than Jnr in the proper Day 2.
Father goes out in about 27th place with JJ v KK.
Father gets home in time to watch two episodes of gritty French drama 'Spiral'.
Father cannot seem to get to sleep which is normal on a Sunday despite having a train to catch at Sparrow O'clock.
Will do a proper road trip in the near future as it was good to see Ed but a change of scenery is needed. Its hard to make an Industrial Estate in Lenton exotic as much as we both love DTD.

Incorrect. Just picked this up from the dry cleaner's:
This can be used for bluffs as well as calls right? What is it about the Gascoigne gene?!
Grats on the cash Ian.
Looking for glamourous what about Malta in March? All the gang is going, will be a great festival with IPT and EPT combined. The IPT main will be a 1k, tremendous value, even for the boy.

Rubs, 25 paid innit.
Good to see this diaries heroes again. There was a disappointing lack of check raises from gascoigne sr, but a rather fulfilling abundance of "get there"s to make up for it.

Ah shucks. My bad. I assumed in a deepstack there'd be way more paid. What's happened to the runners in these? Guess it clashed with GPS.

Shucks, just looked at the finishing positions and realised I pure bubbled ! It was an interesting spot. The board showed about 29 left with 25 paid. There had been no announcement of hand for hand or anything. Javid had joined the table and was opening pot after pot and these 40k bets were getting through and he was building his stack up nicely. Big blind was 12k. Eventually he opens for 40k and I get JJ on the button and jam for 320k which just about covers Javid. He dwells for a time and on another table there is a 3 way all in. Not quite sure what was happening to be fair but on the other table 8,8 eventually knocked out 9,9 and AA. ( love poker?). Javid tanks for what seems like an age realising we are now on the bubble. The longer he tanks the more certain I am that he will fold or at least I am in good shape. Eventually he mutters those words, ' go on then I call' and flips over.....

Father couldn't play the Main Event owing to work commitments, but did manage to 'drag' himself to the weekly VIP game after he'd finished stoking things up with Standard Life.
I do love this photo - look how happy he looks
I can't possibly think why.

I think it's quite considerate of DTD to have a 'Seniors' room for the old farts.
