"I voted Leave..but I care more about stopping Corbyn getting into No. 10 than I do about signing new trade deals." Great read on the softening of the Brexiteers

Neither Labour nor the Tories have a credible plan for BREXIT. Have the British people ever been so ill served by the two main parties?

The row over the customs backstop is the cabinet Brexiteers’ last chance to put up or shut up, says

'the EU has taken a hard-line approach to negotiations it has undermined relations with even pro-European Britons who may end up feeling that their country, for all its own mistakes over Brexit, is being bullied by the bigger partner in the negotiations'

A good fair read

Tory MP Henry Smith told BBCRadio4 world tonight that UK cabinet would not support a backstop for Ireland.

May signed up to backstop in Dec, six months ago. This is front page of Brexit papers next day. What did Tories think they had signed up for?

David Davis tells friends he’ll stay on and fight the “people trying to box me in”; ie the PM and Olly Robbins. But how long can this psychodrama last?

PM in quite a pickle here.

Brexiter MPs glum about "endless backstop" being a backdoor sellout. Davis also unhappy unless time-limited.

But Backstop with time limit "is not a backstop" says Irish & EU.

More important: backstop "immensely important" for Tory Remainer rebels.

In which Bush tries to work out how many Tory rebels you’d need to actually stay in the EEA:

The Supreme Court ruling on Northern Ireland’s abortion laws is a nightmare for the government
Theresa May now has cover to legislate for liberalisation - but the DUP could force her to then impose direct rule.

Why is Labour going soft on Brexit? Cracking analysis from election_data which shows in seats Labour won, it got twice as many Remainer votes as Leave
