Theresa May has finally given MPs and the EU27 the clarity they have been begging for.

Unfortunately, the only thing clarified is that the government’s Brexit proposals will neither pass parliament nor be accepted by Brussels, writes

If this is all the government has for its Brexit white paper, we're in trouble

still no answer to this from anywhere

Hardest Brexiteers - inspired by Trump - kill Brexit white paper. Then what? Really, considering the numbers in the Commons, then what? What's the plan?

Parliament won't allow No deal, hasn't got the numbers.

Remain is a democratic impossibility.

Labour falls in behind the fudge?

Yes, because one was an attempted manipulation and the other is a statement of fact.

Outside of the internal union what global relationships are the EU actually succeeding in? I genuinely don't know. But it does appear that these unelected sour pusses are making a dog's dinner of all relationships and generally pissing everybody off with their rigidity and general grumpiness. Would be interested to know what new progressive trade agreements they've stimulated in recent years.

So trump telling May how to negotiate brexit isn't manipulation?  And when she doesn't do it the way he wants, saying that there will be no trade agreement isn't either?

Well, I don't feel that strongly about it but I guess the UK brexmaining does make other trade deals more complex. Felt more fact than manipulation and since we've published the white paper I imagine he isn't going to be able to influence it much.  Cambamas intervention seemed designed to shape an outcome.

Since you and tighty have said differently I'll give myself a talking to but perhaps like so many other things on this issue its a bit potato potato

I was looking back reading some stuff on this thread back to 2015, quite enjoyed it. Can't be bothered to find it now but I found a post where i said that I didn't think Cameron was an idiot. I'd like to take that back.

Lots of interesting contributions from people who don't appear to post now - don't think they were drummed out of town by the blonde clique but I guess they turned to other forms of social media. Shame really as the conversations on here, looking back, were much more enlightening and likely to change your view than any twitter thread I've ever read.

You've got this wrong mate, sounds kinda naïve. So let me tell you how to post properly.

Don't place so much weight on what somebody like Trump "said" in any given scenario because today he "said" something completely different.

If you don't post as I want moving forward we won't agree.

Tell me, have I just manipulated you? Or am I being naive?
