Yes, you do.

Lowering to 16 gets better support from our European friends

European voting ages less than 18 as follows

16

Austria
Germany (some state and municipal elections)
Isle Of Man
Jersey
Guernsey
Scotland (Scottish Parliament, local and referendum)
Malta
Wales (Welsh Parliament and local)

17

Greece
Norway (if 18 in year election held)

Most others are 18

edit: Neither the 16 and 17 year old or the EU citizen amendments are going to be debated.

I know the consensus view is

Boris wins majority (polls are saying this), votes through Brexit in Parliament in Jan, leave Jan 31st

May entered the 2017 campaign 17% up in polls, ran a dire campaign with a controversial manifesto, Corbyn's policies were popular and well campaigned and we know what happened.

If we say just for a moment that post a December election there is another hung parliament, which i suggest is quite possible as no one has any idea about Con losses to BXP, Scotland, Lib Dem winning marginals in remain areas etc etc

and nothing can still get through Parliament...what then?

All sensible parties have moved heaven and earth to avoid no deal so far...so we begin to seriously discuss a second referendum? revoke is on the agenda without a referendum? or we just go into permanent flextensions?

It feels like if a GE doesn't help to resolve it then it would be kind of inevitable that we'd have a longer extension and second ref, inevitable doesn't happen much these days though :-)

Basically, no major western european power or economy allows under 18s to vote in a GE ? That's what I read here

If we have a 2nd referendum wouldn't that virtually guarantee the sweatys having another one too?

And the first EU referendum was a great success at sorting this once and for all, as did May's early election.   Given we are destined to repeat both those steps, why not go the whole hog and have another Scottish referendum?

Even the Italians must be laughing at us.

Feels like LDs are going to fight this election, seduced by their Euro election results and current polling, with a message that is too simplistic and too virulently anti Labour for remain leaning parties to come out ahead.

Tories, since they've brought forward a 'new' deal to leave (and leaving with a deal, irrespective of the specifics, must be the view of the large percentage of leavers) really only need to convince the nutter clean break wing of the Brexit party supporters to romp home. Feels that way 6 weeks out.

I make a Tory majority about 4-9
