Hammond becoming quite the pratt.....

anyhooooo.

Some balance from elsewhere.

Nasty Eurocrats trying to keep their nests feathered. Behind paywalls, but the headline is good enough.

“Balance” provided by a founding member of the ‘Vote Leave’ organisation and a Conservative MEP.
Balance to remain arguments not balance (being unpartisan)

I think they both knew what I meant, but it was probably just a sign of their "rage" Wink Wink Wink

Lets be honest, we can all find detractors of everyone on the internet if we know where to look.

No rage at all. The next two months are going to be fascinating with lots of twists and turns.

Sensible links to reputable sources are going to be more crucial than ever to try to understand the unfolding events

The opinions of prominent leavers don’t balance the facts set out by Hammond. Extensive lying from Boris and Gove on Op Yellowhammer.

For balance...I look forward to Philip Hammond’s next letter to PM about inaccurate pro-remain media speculation

mmm, think the PM openly and obviously lying is a little different to media speculation.

don't follow Douglas Murray, so didn't see it. Nor did i see it from anyone else. Normally a reasonable sign that its more swivel eyed than worthy of attention if it isn't shared so i catch it

Douglas Murray is brighter than Hannan, but also not exactly a balanced voice!

Doesn't this dismissal of an erudite man epitomise the general remain echo chamber. Too often people are dismissed by the Liberal left for who they are rather than what they say.

Read this yesterday. Good piece I thought.

'there is not only the doing down of Britain and the bigging up of the EU. There is almost pornographic catastrophism and now barely disguised vengeance' .

Long words but echo my feelings about the collaborators

I think the word collaborators is objectionable and inappropriate. Expected better of you. Its lazy and facile.

The EU are not an enemy and language harking back to wartime sums up how leavers have dramatically misunderstood the EU throughout.

Next you will be hosting a street party in 1950s fancy dresswith Union Jack bunting and calling remainers quislings.

Next you will be writing in a very ironic way having just taken offence, you then dish it straight back with extra sauce.

Hammond complains about media speculation and misleading political implications. If he achieves ‘balance’ by writing letters about each instance the amazon would have a new threat to contend with.

He also professes to speak on behalf of all ministers. Wonder how many elected him to speak on their behalf? What was the due process to acquire that authority?

How very Euro-autocratic Mr Sneer.

Calm down dearie,   I find your language, calling my language objectionable and inappropriate, to be objectionable and inappropriate - bit circular and your offence at the English language means precisely nothing

Collaboration - working with others towards a common goal, the action of working with someone to produce something (e.g an outcome) - it's a perfectly appropriate use of the word.

Remainers aren't quislings yet though I'm sure some aspire to be

Thought of street parties with Union Jack bunting prob make Donald Tusk seethe

Can just see him tipping a big English trifle over the head of a poor lad dressed as a chimney sweep

Latest YouGov poll has Boris surging to big 12pts lead over Labour.

He's obv making all the right noises and could well lead to majority govt if repeated in an election. Personally much happier with him in the negotiating seat as opposed to maybot.
