i also Enjoyed watching the "Diego Simeone technical area" show last night. Lives & breathes every kick, on at the players constantly

at the end he sought out every leicester player, embraced then, complimentary in the press conf afterwards

I would love to see him managing in the PL. He'd give Jose, conte, pep and the rest a good run for their money. quite the character

once they scored that was it,no way we were ever scoring three

quite the team to watch close up Atleti, really organised, compact, defend as if linked by giant ropes. one moves, the rest adjust immediately.

at half time when we went direct with 3-4-3 and shoved long balls up and crosses galore (having spent the first half being unable to get past Godin and Savic camped on the 18 yard box to stop Vardy running in behind) we had them rocking a bit on their plinths but never really cracked them

and Griezmann...he hardly appears to be moving then bang he's accelerating.glides over the pitch like he's a spring heeled hare gambolling in the fields. if he came to the PL he'd be a handful, just a natural sense of where space isa nd very ifficult to track

so the better team went through, but no shame in that. gave it a good go

Savic as in the ex City centre half?

Yep the same Savic.

I see Bayern Munich have complained to UEFA about the treatment of their fans by the Madrid police. What a surprise...

Didn't realise he'd ended up as part of one of the meanest defences in Europe.

Never thought he was as bad as many City fans made out. Certainly had potential but I think his confidence was eventually shot to pieces. Unfair comparisons to Nastasic (sp) didn't help. But us City fans love a scapegoat Smiley

Leicester City seem to spend a lot of money on crowd "embellishments", flags, "clackers" cupcakes (truly...), and so on.

Do other clubs do those sort of things?

i doubt they do but our owners are big on it

the clapper stuff is much derided, but it doesn't have make a racket, create an atmosphere and in a small part helps make lcfc a tough place to go

the visual stuff was done for the CL only.

43 points now and safe

Shakespeare has been in charge for 10 league games

points since he succeed Ranieri. simpler tactics, high press, counter-attacking, converting xG into goals again....

Leicester - 22
Chelsea - 21
Liverpool - 19
Man Utd - 17
Man City - 17
Arsenal - 10

good for second in the mini table behind Spurs. He has to get the job

yesterday was a good 3-0 win.

Shakespeare is only the 4th manager to win his first 5 PL home games in charge, after Pellegrini, Eriksson and Ancelotti.

This season would've been a lot less stressful had Wilfried Ndidi been signed last summer. What a player he will become.

Mahrez looks like he will be off in the summer, which is fine. he's under contract so a nice fee and it will hopefully allow us to play Demarai week in week out

all in all....

with £80m coming from the champions league run plus the PL earnings, we will have nice sums to strengthen and hopefully make a run at next season, with no europe, towards the top 7

All reads well Tighty and concur with the Mahrez comments. He has been quite a weak link this season. It will be interesting if we let him go whether Slimani stays?

Benalouane has continued to impress as has Ndidi. Drinky seems a bit in and out at the mo imho. it will be interesting where the money will be spent. Kasper if reports are true will be a great loss.

Does potentially selling Mahrez this summer not suggest/imply that he really should've been moved on last summer? His stock was at its absolute peak this time last season, you'll still get good money for him obv but he's probably lost 1/3 of his value (maybe more) at a guess? His value could only really decrease these last 12 months.

Where does he go now? Spain? PSG? Can't see any other prem clubs making a move for him.

Appreciate losing Kante and Mahrez (and nearly Vardy too) in the same window just after winning the title would've been tough to take and maybe sending out a poor message.....but business is business.
