free agency starts tomorrow

so far

- Broncos plan to sign QB Case Keenum
- Chiefs set to grab WR Sammy Watkins (3 years, $48M, $30M guar.)
- Jaguars zero in on guard Andrew Norwell (5 years, $66.5M, $30M guar.)
- Bears set to sign WR Allen Robinson (3 years, $42M, $25M guar.)

Drew Brees also free to talk to teams. must be a tempting 2 year option for $50m or so with a QB needy team to play him and draft a rookie behind

The right move for him and the Vikings, I like him and think he'll do well with the weapons there

Sharp

Cousins deal further reason why now, more than ever, new Super Bowl "window" is in the 5 yrs (4+option yr) of a first round QB's rookie-deal. This is why we're seeing aggressiveness from:
• PHI
• CHI
• LAR
• KC
HOU missing their opportunity. DAL has just 4 yrs w Dak.(and hasn't got the cap due to Romo dead money)

Some of those WR numbers are eye watering really. Possibly a fallout from this being the 2nd poor looking WR draft class on the trot?

I like Paul Richardson but 8 million a year? same number for  Albert Wilson. I’ve had a man crush on a Trey Burton for a long time but 8 million a year too? 16 million a year to Sammy a Watkins feels steep. Ryan Grant just got 7 million a year from Baltimore, that’s Ryan Grant!,

John Brown and his sickle cell illness just got 5 million and Danny Amendola who has spent weeks being wrapped in cotton wool until the Pats needed him got 6 million a year from Miami. The Pats spent years restricting his snaps to keep him fit.

Feels like a clever deal by Cousins tho, a 3 year deal now and in 3 years time the Cap number will be even higher per team and so will QB salaries. He’s going to be in a great spot to cash in again without tying himself up for  5 to 6 years now.

No wonder Gronk is considering retirement when he’s getting paid the same as Trey Burton and Albert Wilson and a million more than Ryan Grant for the next two years is it?  :-o Got to admire Brady and Gronks will to win when they are both playing for well under their value. They are getting 22 million combined this year. Sam Bradford and his latest iffy knee just signed for 1 year in Zona for 20 million.

That’s incred isn’t it?

Jordan Nelson just got cut but he’s played his best years in Green Bay for around 10 million a year and was one of the best in the game. Washington’s 5th target in the passing game if everyone is fit  just got 7 million a year!

Huge trade: Jets acquired No. 3 overall pick from Colts for No. 6 overall pick, 37th overall pick, 49th overall pick and 2019 2nd round pick.

So that's aQB at 3 then . Giants can ask for a fortune from the bills at 2

Yes, this is awful news for the Bills. Broncos too.

That's an absolutely incredible haul for the Colts. So incredible they decided not to wait for other offers or for the Jets to realise what they'd just done.

Now feels like

Cle - Darnold
Gia - Barkley
Jets - QB (guess Allen best fit)
Cle - trade down to the highest bidder and get even more picks plus a premium left tackle.

Only trade partner for Giants would be Denver now. No one else could afford it.

Colts now have picks 6, 36, 37 and 49 and don't need a quarterback

They could of course flip 6 for 12/22 with the bills if one of the big four quarterbacks is there
