so as the bb hard fewer chips than the allin you eliminate him from the comp and give all his chips to the allin uncontested?
harsh as it sounds yes. If it was per my original answer when I still had sleep in my eyes and didn't see that UTG was in and it was just between the 2 of them then only the 5k would be lost by the bb Should there not be an option where the dealer deals flop, turn and river and the BB has a (small, obv) chance by having to play the board? After all, they would be all in and it does give them an option? Errrm ........ no

Forcing a call/raise does nothing for the integrity of the game if it was in error. The player who shoved all in might not even want calling.
We do have to force a call as a player has now acted after him, but UTG is actually in the wrong by folding when he did as a) he didn't know what the raise was or b) he thought he was folding to a 5k raise?

Common sense is required in this spot IMO, if it were down to the facts given then I would force the bb to sacrifice his 5k or if his cards are identifiable give him the option to call. He has said raise into a pot where he can't technically raise. It is again technically down to the player to protect his interest in the pot. But no one can act after him and therefore they are not angeling. It's a mistake ffs that can be rectified. Rule 1 here.
I didn't see originally that UTG was in. In which case all his chips are in, but if his cards can be identified they should be turned and live, if they cannot be identified then pot goes UTG+1's way. There is a misconception that if a players cards "touch" the muck then come hell and high water they cannot EVER be live. If it is clear what cards they are, then in the spirit of the game if they are 100% identifiable they should be retrieved and play in this case.

Bad decision imo, once the next hand is entered into, there is no case. Although it was "reported" who knows exactly what the cards were? How long was he away from the table? What if he was due to be next bb? loads of different questions and scenarios could be raised here if it wasn't dealt with immediately. If he notified before the start of the next hand then ruling is good.

Mosseri asked for a full count of his stack (not the bet (imo the dealer should have said what the bet was not the count)) called and flipped, he knew what Yakovenko had in his stack as he had just had it counted. Yakovenko knows his stack has just been counted .... he helped count it. By not correcting and assisting in the fact that cards are on their backs as in an all-in situation. The fairest way to deal with it is to treat it as an all-in situation. Yakovenko could have easily said "what are you doing, you have just said call"? and held on to his cards. The dealer hasn't said on their backs, therefore the players have assumed between themselves that everyone is all-in. The dealer should be shot btw, this is the flagship $50k comp, surely he should have control of the table.

The floor staff was called over again and the dealer informed him that the hands were prematurely tabled with action still pending between Mosseri and Yakovenko. So why did the dealer carry on? If the players didn't say anything until the end of the hand then the "accepted action" is the correct decision (even if I do think Jack Eiffel is a bit of a dick).

PMSL, so after the hand what did the dealer clarify?
Was it that he was a knob, and allowed a bet out of turn by calling it a straddle of £25 on a 25p/50p game?

Are Mississippi straddles allowed in that game? Also what are the actual blinds to have a straddle of £25? Or is this a level?

Bit of a technical question, what game are we playing NL, PL or Limit? In no limit or pot limit then the bet has now been increased to 11900 to call. Players that have already the opportunity to raise can only call, If a player after the all-in who hasn't had the opportunity wants to min raise then it is 19,900. If it is Limit then it depends if you are using the full bet or half bet rule. As you have deliberately put the all-in total just less than 50% of a legit raise then I presume this is what you are getting at. Players now have the option of calling, folding or completing the bet. If it was all-in for 12100 then the next player must call 16000, raise to 20,100 or fold. Hope this helps EDIT just read the last bit, It is All-in!! I thought you meant other peoples options? ? sorry lol
