If the player had tabled his cards which I presume he did because you know what they are, then no way. But IMO a player has to be at the table to turn his cards.
However, a player should never be called back by the TD/dealer

Gatso, in ruling threads we seem to be in agreement most of the time, but I am presuming that you have the devil in you today Every version of well known poker rules that i have read repeat this "rule"(the one quoted in the first page ott), the reason it's common is because it is sensible. I don't actually care about this rule one way or the other, it's fine, it works and it's fair. just don't really understand it as I think a raise would make more sense but there's no reason to change it It is just an extension of the "oversize chip" rule that is needed if 2 chips of the same value are required to cover the call.

Call, anywhere I've worked.
Bet is 1100 a player only has 10x1k chips puts 2 1k chips in its a call Therefore if a player has a mixture of chips and puts in 2 1k chips without saying anything then the same rule has to apply. Cant have 1 rule for 1 and a different rule for the same action. If they want to raise just say raise ........ simplez

Yeah doubleup is correct. Only time a player can be moved into these seats is when a table breaks and either a) the SB is dead or b) the BTN is dead
I think the easiest way to explain is if no action is changed by someone coming from a broken table or being seated right after the last bb got knocked out Is that really the best way to explain it Scott, cuz you've just screwed my head up lol

I'd hardly call this thread dangerous. Nobody's likely to get hurt.
Dan wouldn't feel too happy if a decision was scrutinized on a forum that all members thought he was wrong (I know it didn't happen here as the decision is pretty clear cut) and he knew he was going to be in the office about when he next goes in. I lost a job over a players inability to recall a hand correctly and arguing over a decision with me (on a different forum btw) many years ago. It can be dangerous :/

You say dealer is dozy and missing stuff but you played whole hand of poker with 3 cards and missed your oppo flipping A-J. Hand is stone cold dead and it's entirely your own fault, sorry.
<3 Mantis, and exactly spot on. So, from making a thread that looks like you are trying to get the TD in the shit (as all DTD management read here) you have just enhanced his position on a 100% correct ruling. Threads like this are dangerous, TD's should make a decision based on facts and fairness, not how they think a forum will slate that decision if it doesn't go the way of an OP. By all means ask a question of whether a decision is fair. If it seems like it isn't and a ruling is ridiculous the community will usually scream for an OP to name names (slightly different scenario).

Just played on a 6 ring and the setup looks like they have moved the players round so seats 1 and 6 are just over halfway, nothing intruded the view.

I wish I was able to do something like that at my venue. It would be a good hit and it'd stop me losing dealers to Genting who are supplementing the income of their staff by adding in this surplus 'tip', if you will.
Which Genting does this?

There was a well known player from Birmingham who had a pair of "said glasses" about 15 years ago lol, got barred from the Vic for using them. The main reason why you cant play kalooki with poker cards in a casino now. Magic Ink FTL
