Done, just over 90k a week. Around 17million fee.

Absolute bargain. Best transfer window ever. :-)

On a side note really feel for the Milan fans. Every year selling their best players and replacing them with absolute tosh.

For that price and that wage (relative) there is very little risk involved

He was mostly excellent last season in a rank average Milan side

in a transfer window where £10-12m is being bandied around for average premier league players, £16m is great business

comes with a risk, he's a nutter, but with possibly 65 games this season compared to around 45 last and rotation key it looks a blinding signing to me

I was just saying this to someone on skype.  Look at what £12m buys you in the championship and you can sign a player like this who scored in world cups for only a few quid more.  The transfer market is barmy at times when you sit down and look at it logically.

Im a Man u fan. But i don't think he will fit into you Philosphy of quick, flowing football. He has the ability when he can be bothered i just think he is to lazy of a player to play in your style of football and is even more of a liability the luis! I don't think he would be a good addition to your team

This is a left-field signing.  £16m and 'only' £90K a week for a player of his capabilities is a bargain.

Of course there's a MASSIVE risk.  He's bonkers.  But that doesn't worry me as much as his attitude on the pitch in terms of working for the team, etc.  If Brendan can instil that in him then he could be a massive asset for the side.  If not, then I can't imagine Rodgers will take too much of his shit and he'll be moved on?

Exciting though.

Surprised after all the shit with Suarez they're even risking it on a time bomb like balloteli. Looks like he wasn't able to persuade a striker of any kind of calibre to move to Anfield

Can't believe you went for £17 million Balotelli when you could have had £12 million Deeney Wink

How many people thought Sturridge was a risk at 14 million?

No i did thought it was very overpriced he had a big reputation of being disruptive inside the dressing room (albeit not as bad)

Different kettle of fish. This guys got a proven track record of being hugely disruptive. Even Rodgers himself was quoted as saying they weren't interested. Looks like it's a risk he's had to take

You cant take a manager as saying he isnt interested as any kind of guide, probably just trying to lower the price

If Rodgers isnt getting the players he wants after last season then he never will
