Last year's final and semi final was a serious heat wave so haven't been to the dogs there yet when it is cold.  Been several times for the horses in the past when it was freezing.  Hopefully will be the same as last year weather wise (and results wise)

I used to like him  Grin, would love to say that ill take a few quid off him while im there but cant bring myself to bet worse than the exchange. Must admit though he was trying hard, Sporting Dave was evens across the board and after 3 mins he went 11/10 and was shouting it wont get any better, a flood of punters rocked up probably 20/30 bet with him while the other 2 layers just looked on. Eventually one of them changed to 11/10 and got no business. Of course Dave hacked up, I half thinks he likes the publicity he get from the favs winning.

Brusiers in t2, Wildcat in t3.  Could be some carnage early in the middle of the track.

None of us can ask for anymore.

T1 Bombers
T2 Bruisers
T3 Wildcat
T4 Verve
T5 Vic
T6 Jack

BFSB just pushed Vic out to 50/1, slightly insulting to the Scottish Derby finalist. I think Fred went 13/8 earlier on Verve but that seems to have gone. 888 prices are not correct on oddschecker.

Verve looks a big price to me at bigger than 7/4 on the machine.  Can only assume that is someone happy to green up his big ante post prices.  The trainers declined the invite to travel down for the derby lunch/draw so they could avoid the long journey which can only help the dog even more.  Wildcat going to be going left and slightly missing the up as usual before taking off will give Verve all sorts of room early to get around the first bend.  Plus the chance Bruisers and Wildcat find trouble together on the rail.

Can't see Verve going off anywhere near 7/4 on the night.

not laying him yet then, best wait until he odds on. Seems like you are reading the race quite well there. Couple of ifs being Whoops Jack getting in behind Verve and stopping the others getting anywhere near. There is always the chance that Bruisers pings and its game on, big if, but capable. Any sort of trouble could see Bombers take advantage in behind. So many outcomes and all are likely. However Verve is ultra hot and def the dog to beat, but then so was Farloe Blitz.

Might be worth watching on Towcester.Tv if you can on Saturday night, sounds like they are going all out: Taken from Racing Post:

Towcester TV plans to mount an impressive show - with RPGTV expected to take some of its output.
Towcester’s  production plan includes:
12 cameras:
4 x race coverage
2 x jibs
2 x radio cams
Bookie cam
Kennel cam
Commentators cam
Drone

Talent:

Commentator: Andy Lismore + co-commentator Dave Clark

Presenters:
Jonathan Hobbs, Julie Collier and Darrell Williams

Sky Sports would not have done it better. See you on Saturday.

That's my selfie bingo sorted then.

No hare cam?

That would be fun as long as the doggos don't eat it at the pickup after each race.

Abit long winded, Lord Hestketh’s speech at the Derby lunch, from about 9mins he starts talking about Welfare and indicates their plans to have a global product via Towcester.Tv, talks about the American market and how essential it is to have a certain symbol to be beamed with their pictures (E) which indicates it’s an ethical product.

Took them 3 years but a few months ago they have achieve a zero dog waiting list to be rehomed after racing. Truly amazing. Part of how they achieve it is by having a dog pension fund that the owners/trainers of all graders have to donate £200 which Towcester match for when dog retires. Such innovation and may be the one thing that saves Greyhound racing as a sport.

Can't price a race to save myself but would have Verve about an even money shot.

Just gone through Saturday's card in a fair amount of detail apart from the Inter Track/Marathon/Hurdle which i have no interest in as there is so little course and distance form to go on.   Some interesting draws in some races full of railers.

Sprint looks top class.  Think the jolly in the Plate final is far too short and not certain to lead at all.

The Regency winner and King Turbo look good things in the stayers and British bred.  Bluebird looks very well drawn to get a result on home turf and his huge following on track surely on finals night.

seniors race looks competitive.  the 10.11pm invitational has four railers in it and only t4 has any early pace so could lead up and cause carnage on the inside and the two wides and both big stayers.  Will be interesting to see how they price this up.
