Really enjoying your adventures Alex and those pics are fantastic.

I can't help feeling a little concerned about your being at large in out of the way places with so many valuables in a third-world country where life is relatively cheap and $4k would almost literally be a king's ransom. I remember hearing warnings about not wearing any jewellery when travelling in South America because robbery was rife at that time.

That was thirty-odd years ago and more appertaining to Brazil where many of my friends went travelling then but I'm sure it was applicable to many neighbouring countries too, especially Columbia.

My old boss was express kidnapped in Colombia several years back. It's one of his favourite stories. My advice is don't read the FCO warnings, be alert, don't flash the cash, always know where you are and don't get in cabs with anyone else.

*actually do read the warnings, but only about where not to go then close it quickly

Spent the morning exploring further. I discovered that there's a lot of trees, hills and lakes here.

It was cool though, first I hired a bike (knew the spanish for bike, ship it) it didn't have gears sigh, so pedalling up all the hills was pretty longgg, but good exercise.

Then I wanted to hire out a pedallo to go on the lake for an hour. I'd seen them just below my room so knew they hired them, but wasn't sure how to ask for them. I obv tried pedallo first but that wasn't getting through. In the end I went for "Bicicleta por lago" (Bicycle for the lake)!

"Ahhh Bicicleta aquatica!?"

"Si!!!!"

Boom.

They have an outdoor jacuzzi here which is really sick, gonna chill in there for a bit before getting some food Smiley

I think I've exhausted all the activities to do here now. Might think about moving on but don't really want to, love it here! There's loads of signs around advertising plots of land for sale, or apartments/houses for sale. Would be a sick place to come and chill after the world series each year. Or even escape the English winter for a month or two and grind out here a la Cos. Head been spinning the last few days with ideas!
