Why did you think A1033 was a good hand to make that move with? Seems pretty terrible given what you mentioned about how the game plays and your intentions going into it.

yh +1 nut low hand to 3bet rele

Nice win though but pls don't report hands lost vs golden. Shoulder barge stories much welcomed though.

Lost a £900 pot to PeeJay last night with ace and queen. He had ten and eight. He assessed that the table was (quote) "the best lineup you could hope for." I agreed. Naturally he went crackers in a button/blind spot versus me because I (quote) "looked uncomfortable."

Sean I'm disappointed.   Pls right a report about winning your biggest ever live pot by slow rolling with aces twice in the same hand! I know you didn't do it on purpose but it makes me laugh whenever I think about it.

Sick thing is, if this had happened after Tom's overreaction, I for sure would have done it on purpose. That's sick future sight tekkers right there.

The slowroll was made up of:

10% Putting a decent chunk of my net wealth over the betting line.
20% My overall demeanor; never been one to fistpump/snap call/leave scorch marks on the felt as my chips fly in. Just let the high denoms cascade in for reverse sweat equity.
40% It's me and I never hold in the big ones. What if he has some sort of medium rank offsuit one gapper type hand?
30% It's Tom Walster. Two aces means nothing, so even when we flop a third ace we're not home and dry yet. He could easily have something that flops a draw on A 4 3, especially if I blinked one too many times before he made the 5bet. And we all know what happens when I whip my cards over and declare, "that's me."

Appreciated the etiquette lesson, though.

mean this in the nicest way possible, but if the job is like that surely its time to start looking for a new one? if youre dealing around the world and got contracts at ept etc then cool, if you're a student and making some pocket money dealing what you cant afford to play then cool, but seems like from a full time perspective local dealing definitely isn't a viable option for most.

All in good time. I look at this job as a springboard. You need experience to deal in places with better pay or which need you to be able to deal Omaha and other games or to deal in EPTs or WSOPs or places in America. Just like in poker, the long game is more important.

Its more than experience, you need connections. There are a tonne of avg dealers doing epts, wpts etc. Tips at DTD are a lot worse than everywhere else i have been. They are lot higher in London!

The problem with the current dealer policy at DTD is that they train dealers to a high standard, then piss them off with crap pay/no set hours, so they leave and work somewhere else. Genting in Derby is almost entirely staffed with ex-DTD dealers, as is Alea in Nottingham, and there are ex-DTD at Fox etc. So all DTD is doing in the long run is training up their competitors dealers for free. I can go to Genting in Derby, get decent dealing all night (better than the average DTD standard) and it's all been provided by Dusk.

Compare with the Vic, which seems to hang on to it's staff much better.

Wow really suprised to hear that skippy. Casino dealers better than Dtd because they left Dtd for more money and set hours.
