Pay possibly that's why I asked about tips since Sean was dealing.  Loads of decent staff have gone to be blow ins or alea/ genting etc.

I had a decent run in the £150 yesterday. When they were guaranteeing the prize pool at a cool £100k I figured I couldn't afford to miss it. Things started off incredibly slowly; 3bet/snap-folded two queens face up and didn't play another pot for three levels. I decided I was going to switch gears coming back after the break and 3bet the first three hands in position and got it through, then picked up the two queens again and got two streets on from a flush draw. Really felt like I was playing my A game. Not that the table was particularly tough, but I've definitely been reaching into souls recently. I turned 30k into 50k with AK > KQ and 50k into 70k with AQ > JJ, the latter of which might have been pretty close: versus the only other decent player at the table, I've opened utg at the 150/300/50 level to 750, there's been four callers and he squeezes from the small blind to 3,800 playing 13k~ behind. It seems the perfect squeeze spot for him, and I've been opening a lot of hands. AQs is supposed to be miles ahead of most of his range right? Stuck it in and paired the queen anyway and headed off for break number two.

Between levels 7 and 9 in short, just folded loads and made the occasional 3bet behind a loose opener to replenish lost blinds. Maintained a 70k stack until the second to last hand before break number three. The aforementioned loose opener had made it 1,400 at 300/600/75, I've made it 3,900 with , some fishbowl calls behind and the opener calls. I cbet 6,400 on , the fishbowl calls his stack off which is just over 6k, and the other player folds. We're up against the massive and fail to hold.

Lost a big one in level 10 with versus a limp shove from the guy to my immediate right, who has the and binks the tenball on the turn. That was an 80k pot and takes me up to 120k or so, instead we're down to a 20bb stack all of a sudden. Got the rest in with JJ and ran into KK. Good game. Once again turned a decent stack into dust, and failed to make day 2. Just wish these droolers would fuck the fuck off and stop making pairs. They clearly hate money otherwise they wouldn't be terrible at poker, whereas I sort of like money, it helps me to live.

Anyways whatever, going to play some more fucktards on the cash tables today. My goals are as follows:

[  ] not drop £1k in the softest game ever
[  ] not get called a prick
[  ] smile
[  ] not almost die in a car crash on the way home

My goals are as follows:

Didn't hold in a 70/30, but I think I got there in a 18/82... Lost a few sick ones yesterday and was about fed up, so took a gamble with two jacks against Ian Gascoigne which was pretty spewy, but I got there. Felt bad that it had to be against Ian, but I was owed some equity one way or another. By the look on his face, I had the best of it in no point in the hand.

Dropped £1k. Played well for the most part, really feeling my game improving, but can't pick up the results to prove it 'cause I got coolered an absolute bunch. I was discussing with a friend the other night how sometimes when you're playing a few tables online, you might say pick up a couple of big hands and not get any action, oh well nevermind. But elsewhere on the next table, 4 players just get 200bb each in with KT > J9 > 66 > A4 in what is supposed to be a massive cooler but is just a couple of people going absolutely bonkers out of thin air. I'd like to be that guy that just always shows up with no hand in the big pots and scoops it. It worked with two jacks against Ian, right?

I did not get called a prick. Not sure what's going on, maybe nobody recognised me or something. I heard from someone that Tom tried to slowroll me. At least he's not bitter, right? 'Cause I definitely did it just to needle him, right? 'Cause I'm that guy! Confirmed prick! I love the attention I think, that must be what it is. It all started when people used get upset with me for no reason, it would give me the weirdest boner, and I found it oddly tantric in social situations. To get the same rush, though, I found I had to do upset people in different ways and be more and more brutal every time, until I just snapped the other day. I couldn't turn my hand over because I was literally ejaculating at the table.

Unfortunately for those to whom I subject this nonsense, I did not die - nor almost die - in a car crash on the way home. If you'd have asked me 24 hours ago, though, "Sean, this wave of misfortune doesn't deserve to stop with your financial situation, and we've already discussed your social situation or lack thereof. Tell me, have you been inches from almost certain death very recently?" Why yes, yes I have. For those of you familiar with it, Bramcote Island roundabout. For those of you not familiar, the A52 runs through it, and there are two other busy exits, but there's also a small exit on the left as you're driving towards Toton/Stapleford. The lights have just turned green, myself and a driver in the lane to my left pull away, as we get to about 20-30mph, a black car comes moving out of the small exit at what I estimate was a minimum of 70mph. The whole thing just happened a bit too quickly for me to really have reacted properly. It all slowed down for a second though, as the brakes of the car to my left started to squeal and he started to skid towards me, and the black car could have been no further than 2 or 3 feet away from the front of my car. I just put the brakes on and closed my eyes, and the next thing I know, the guy in the left lane and I are travelling down a dual carriageway at 10mph looking at each other like "dafuq just happened?!"

Plan today is to snap leave if I'm up at any point, just to preserve the hourly, which was £50/hr and is now £9/hr or something. Hopefully going to land a job this week or next week (that is, if I don't bink the UKIPT) so I don't lose my mind. I'll come back to live poker before the end of the year though I reckon.
