And since he isn't OxfordFelix we're going to opt for the smaller sizing to get called by Sean's entire paired range, good Ax's and potentially even Q high type hands if he's feeling particularly fruity.

"wtf is that... I'm not sure I like any part of the hand from your side Sean..... hashtag well played sir...."

does not compute.

because I don't expect him to play such a strong hand so meekly from out of position to a superior player..

Hmm, I have no idea what basis you have to call yourself a superior player. And Sean played this hand well IMO

do you think he played it the 'best' it could be played given that the other player was me and that was the runout..? (not trolling, interested in the alternative lines)

I didn't say I was right, I just thought effectively I don't think I bet much worse otr.. (clearly JJ and QQ are worse) but almost everything else probably has a K or better...
And I think vs Sean my bluffing otr here is less likely than vs someone looser.

fair comment?

He pretty much did what you wanted lol, cant complain. Cant think why Sean would ever peel Ax otf that isn't AK/AQ/AJ here tho, and doubtful of those too tbh. I'd bet my ability to backdoor that Sean never ever ever calls river with QUEEN HIGH.

I just meant vs me... I could see some people thinking I am too much of a betting monkey and consider it.

Not with THAT hand.. but I don't expect him to have many Kx's.. esp with it being the .

Let me rephrase my comments into this, if you were in his seat Alex - how do you think the hand would have played out?

So you want him to c/c all 3 with Q high bearing in mind only Q high is Q8 that has literally rofled all 3 or has a flush but you also want him to fold AK high on the turn?

I don't expect him to fold AK high on the turn... I expect him to call and call again when he has it... HOWEVER - i didn't expect him to have AK very often, figured he would have most if not all AJ/ AQ combos (we block the AJ obv) and only a couple of AK... I figured he would be 3bt-ing AK the majority of the time.

I mean I would 3bet AK a high percentage of the time, but that is given my image (obviously was very spewy and splashy and aggro) and our "history" (not that we've played much vs each other, just we'll just level each other constantly) so I could justify getting in loads of bbs with AK vs you (you were considering 5b/calling K9s vs me )

Sean might feel that you don't have the dynamic or history to get in however many bbs it was with AK vs you. Which is absolutely fair imo. He doesn't want to 3b fold it of course, or peel a 4b oop so just flatting is fine and has many merits of course (you rep boards he hits, he has vdisguised strong hand, implied odds vs yr dominated Ax Kx, you'll value cut yourself loads, and good to have strong hands in his sb peeling range vs you to protect it. TO NAME BUT A FEW Cheesy)

Postflop obv not folding to one bet on TT4 or whatever it was. Again the turn he can call easily because you can still be barrelling draws, the 9 adds equity to tons of hands (from 67o to KQ), and the river is just an absolute snap because he is in the lovely position of being able to beat bluffs AND value bets, yet raising seems a bit absurd.

IN MY OPINION of course.
