That is without doubt one of the most disturbing images I have ever seen.

Milligan - with a calorie intake like that you're going to feel tired and lethargic and you're gonna be less productive at work etc. Basically your energy levels are going to be too low. Just eat less without starving yourself and do some exercise too.

You can go hardcore at this without going to extremes.

possible??

Sorry for my last few posts peeps. I was in a mega rush and had to jump into a quick meeting, so didn't really explain myself well.

I understand what everyone in saying and eating healthy and exercising moderately obv will work in the long run. But like everything in my life Its always to an extreme with me, when i drink its too an extreme, when i eat its too an extreme, when i gamble etc etc. When i cut back/stopped sports betting instead of just saying to myself right be sensible now.. I rang up all my accounts and put myself on self exclusion for 5yrs.. Everyone who knows me in real life knows i am ott with everything i do. I don't have that sensible trigger in my brain. (the credit card companies love this) I'm sure If i could do that with exercise it would be great. But in truth i would struggle to find the hours.

My ultimate goal actually is to eat healthy as standard and exercise a few times a week, but right now i want to shift weight fast, so I am trying different things from week to week to see which works best, which i enjoy most, see which suits my day to day life etc.

Surprisingly i haven't always been fat due to all the sports i used to play etc, but even when i was slim not obese i still ate shit and drank tonnes.

Big part of it is breaking the mental connection with food which a lot of us itt seem to have, by just drinking shakes i don't have to worry about what food i am eating, planning meals etc, i just grab a shake and carry on. This fails when i have mood swings and want to splurge instantly. This is something i need to resolve.

Hope some of this rambling makes sense. I know some of you guys are trying to help. But like everything I will always do it the way I want to. Be it right or wrong.

isn't this the problem and the reason for hitting 24st?

you're just replacing one extreme with another and once your done with this one you'll need another to replace that. it'll probably be eating again. surely you need to break the cycle and go for sustainable moderation

24st 11. Lets call it 25 between friends.

Gatso, you talk so much sense it is infuriating. I give you a long ramble and you sum it up with 2 lines.

You are of course right and i need to change the way i am fundamentally. But this i wouldn't even know where to begin. I know people say 'just don't do it' 'just do that' but that doesn't actually to work. In all honesty I am hoping when my kid arrives something just goes clicks and its all sorted. Have seen that happen to one of the biggest life degens i have ever known.

If your BMR is 4k cals and you eat 1500 cals a day you're going to lose 5lbs a week though mate and surely that's enough?

Eating 500 cals a day your body will go into starvation mode and in turn will start storing fat. That's my understanding of it anyway and if I'm wrong Gatso will be able to correct me anyway Cheesy

Milligan. I know you don't care what anybody thinks but seriously what you are doing is absolute madness and probably very dangerous.

I guarantee that if you spoke to any doctor they'd tell you that what you're doing is incredibly bad for you.

You might be losing weight but I'm pretty sure you're messing yourself up at the same time.

In fact without wanting to go over the top I'm pretty sure that if you spoke to a doctor or nutrition expert they'd be convinced you had a full on eating disorder.

You say you have this ultimate goal of eating healthily. Well start doing that now and the weight will drop off and continue to drop off.

Also you say you are trying to find out what works best but also that you are trying different things week to week. How the hell can you tell it's working or not after a week!! There's loads of outside influences that make any test totally pointless after just 1 week.

I'm not trying to be horrible here by the way. I'm genuinely concerned that what you're doing is dangerous.

Good luck Smiley

Not at all mate. I care what people say and i read every single post itt. My point is just because they say don't do X, do Y it doesn't mean that it is that simple for people to just do.

Not sure it is as unhealthy as you think, it is endorsed by numerous pharmacies throughout the country http://www.lipotrim.co.uk/pharmacy_programme/index.htm it has all the nutrients and vitamins you would get in a decent day's eating, which obv i wouldn't have normally got the way i ate in the first place. I buy the shakes and soups direct as the nearest place to me that actually runs it is miles away. There is loads of people who do variations of it here http://www.minimins.com/#food-replacement-diets apart from the first few days of hunger pains and headaches (if you get them at all) they all seem to be doing fine. Some of the weight loss is staggering 8 stone in 5 months and that.

Not totally sure what you mean when you say you are sure I am messing myself up? Drinking more water than i ever have and i haven't seen/heard any negative affects.

Valid point about chopping and changing week by week. After my bad wknd last wknd i figured the best way would to be straight back on the wagon.

Would really like 7.. If i ate 500 cals including carbs I think you would be right, but on 500 cals with these shakes your body goes into ketosis and starts using the stored fat instead of carbs for energy. I have ketostix which tell me I am in Ketosis and I am currently in the second highest level of it according to the chart thingy.

Yeah I know what ketosis is, I posted about it earlier in the thread. You're better off doing it the proper way and losing weight in a steadier fashion. Doing it this way you're never going to keep it off imo which is a shame as that is what you're aiming for and starting at such a large weight you would lose heavily anyway so I don't really get it.

There is a much healthier way of doing it here

Been away since monday with work and stayed in nice hotel with lots of nice food and booze. Got to forget about that now, move on and aim for any sort of loss this week. Gonna hit the gym/cycling every day for the next 4 days.

Ironic statement from the guy who thinks he deserves to win every tournament available for registration on Party.

Anyway, my comment wasn't meant with arrogant intent, I just wasn't going to write a long response to Milligan after he outlined that he only does things by extremes. I don't believe in extremes. I don't think what he's doing is very healthy and it's very possibly dangerous.

Is it possible he could lose a lot of weight very quickly doing what he's doing? Yes.

Do I think his way of doing things will lead to him putting a lot of weight back on eventually? Yes.
