A quick Google Image search for "cow's arse with a banjo" produced this:
Has he signed for Leicester yet?

Agnieska Radwanska v Venus Williams is just about to start.
Coverage is on Eurosport (Sky ch410).
Also on ITV4 (Sky ch120) if you prefer.
Well, that didn't last long.
Almost got going in the second set but that would be clutching at straws.
More help for tikay's "value diet".

Nothing confirmed that I can see (but Tighty's word is good enough for me so I think the bookies should settle).

Umm, thanks Vince, that's cheered me up no end.
Have decided to go to Luton tonight to play the £2 - £2 Dealers Choice. Think it might work out cheaper than punting......just.

Just saw a clip of Venus Williams getting into a limo. Pretty sure the limo had VC on the side of it.

A bit of a Banzai here.
Power Rock is 150/1 on betfair for the Derby.
He was 3rd in the Ballysax and 2nd in the Derrinstown.
He is probably in as a pacemaker, but looks likely to stay 12 furlongs. In a weak Derby, with an odds on jolly, then I just have a feeling. Given Camelot's speed, there is always a reasonable chance he won't stay.
He was clearly pacemaking for Wrote in the Derrinstown, but him and the first pull 7 lengths clear (the first isn't in the Derby). Wrote went on to finish 4 lengths off the leader in a weak looking Irish 2000. But Wrote may have killed his chance by going too quick.
His overall form isn't nearly good enough, but there seems a small chance that he is genuinely improving. He is only 66s with the bookies to deter the each way thieves, so full on proper banzai win only it is.
Anyway the Derrinstown is here.

Don't go crazy, I have only put £15 on myself.
I have a niggling worry about this bet. Since last night there has been a couple of periods where the horse has shortened, but then it has been pushed right out again.
I think there must be a decent chance that we are backing a non runner. I expect it will still be a big price when we lose the ante post risk (presumably tomorrow).
So I think we should now hold off until tomorrow. I can't be bothered laying off for £15.
Its shortened because of me I think Doobs
Bet Status: The following bets were successfully matched Current Odds bets Order by Matched Date
Tower Rock 140 £32.90 £4,573.10
Ref: Bet matched:
160 £2.10 £333.90
Ref: Bet matched:
With Camelot being a late arriving horse the pacemaker may just have a chance to hold on
It isn't the shortening that is worrying me. It is the fact someone has probably laid five figures since last night and keeps happily pushing it out again. He may well believe the horse is shite, but he may well know the horse is not running. I am not close enough to Ballydoyle to know the answer, so figured it was probably better to wait a day and back at 130.
Of course I hope I am wrong on this and the horse runs
Ho hum...
So the horses get laid all day and they then announce this.
O'Brien could run just two in Saturday's Derby
By Tony O'Hehir 7:51PM 30 MAY 2012 AIDAN O'BRIEN raised the possibility on Wednesday night of only having two runners in Saturday's Investec Derby which could lead the joint-smallest field for more than 100 years.
Ryan Moore will ride Astrology when the Dee Stakes winner will join stablemate Camelot, the odds on favourite, in the line-up for the Classic.
Speaking on Wednesday night O'Brien said: "Camelot and Astrology will represent us in the Derby. Joseph [O'Brien] rides Camelot and Ryan [Moore] will be on Astrology. Decisions about the other three colts we have in the race - Imperial Monarch, Father Of Science and Tower Rock - will be made in the morning.
"There is a possibility that Imperial Monarch might go to Chantilly for the Prix du Jockey Club on Sunday instead while we are having further blood tests done on Father Of Science and Tower Walk. We will make all those decisions before declaration time in the morning."
Astrology made all to win the Dee Stakes at Chester by 11 lengths while Imperial Monarch, winner of his only start last year, landed the bet365 Classic Trial at Sandown on his reappearance last month.
If O'Brien takes three runners out and the others all stand their ground at Thursday's final declaration stage a field of nine, the same as in 1907, will go to post.

FWIW Kissed did the big drift yesterday before they announced she would only run in the Oaks with ease in the ground.
I need to promise myself that I will learn from this.

This really isn't good news for the 3-0 if true. I hope they can get hold of the videos and study him sharpish.

...he is the IPL's mystery man, whose hands, seam and "knuckle ball" quality batsmen are finding impossible to read...
Narine has 24 wickets, one shy of tournament leader Morne Morkel, though Narine's wickets have come far cheaper: his economy rate of 5.20 is the best across all IPL seasons among bowlers who have bowled a minimum of 30 overs
He hasn't played much first class cricket but look at these averages too.

..and for those unaware, the England players were pretty much awful against spin in the winter..

i am not sure having roach out and narine in is that much of a negative
roach out is massive, narine is a twenty twenty beast but like doobs says has very little first class experience . A class act no doubt but i dont see him doing a pakistan on england.
englands record against spin at home is pretty good tbf

Daily Summary, as at 0656 Thursday May 31st
Character building stuff.....
A long run of losers - probably exceeding a dozen - was broken by our man "Singheeee" yesterday, who tiiped a very comfortable Baseballl winner overnight, the Rockies easing home 13-5. I shall forever love you Singheee. By the bye, as Mere stated yesterday, my "daft stat" comment was aimed at MYSELF, for reproducing stats based on low sample size - NOT at you!
So that was £80 @ 8/5, meaning we banked £50, but sadly, Miss Radwanska failed to roll over for us, probably wisely, so we lost it back.
Still, we broke the sequence, & this morning I'm rivalling Larry in the Happy Stakes.
Our "Next Liverpool Manager" bet remains on the ledger, though likely to be confirmed deader than a dead thing this morning. I'll remove it when I tidy up the sheet tomorrow morning for the Month End. That'll be fun.
We have 2 cricket bets in progress.
We are on rampant Derbyshire to beat moribund Gloucestershire.
Gloucestershire: 182-5 (61.0 overs)
Derbyshire: 95 (32.2 overs)
Daft as it may sound, a bit of bad weather, & a contrived result, & we might yet win it. (That's called gamblers delusion).
We are also on super Somerset to thrash woeful Worcs.
Worcestershire: 270-3 (96.0 overs)
Somerset: Yet to bat
Memo to Tighty. Report to me first thing, & explain yourself.
