11/10 is value on QPR for sure. In fact any odds against is decent I would have thought.
On Simon's point regarding people who intend to trade out stating that whilst I would agree it isn't the end of the world if Fred bets a horse at 7/1 that goes off at 4/1 without trading out but obviosuly the staking should be different.
I'm going for a lie down now after agreeing with Aaron on a bet.
I'm also on this. I think we should bust our new season Prem cherry on this Tikay. Just a small one, £20 @ 11/10? To be credited to Aaron.

I like over 2.5 goals in Derby vs Sheff Wednesday at 11/10 with Ladbrokes.
Wednesday are vunerable to crosses especially from from set pieces/corners and conceded two goals against Oldham which could easily have been double that. The two full backs Buxton and Reda Johnson were very poor defensively. Derby scored all their five goals midweek from corners/crosses.
Derby conceded five goals in midweek against League One Scunny at home.
Wednesday have two quick wingers Johnson and Antonio who will be a threat.
I'm on at 11/10.
I don't see the point in having a football bet in week 1, when they will undoubtedly be better opportunities in the months ahead.
Having said all that if we want action, this looks like the best bet of the week by far.
There were 60 odd shots on goal in the Derby v Scunny match and while it would be stupid to take too much notice of one meaningless cup game, I think odds against looks very fair here.
Glad you agree - but fully understand the caution so early in the season and Tikay not using it.

Going with QPR. Too many factors against Swansea here and listened to previews on them and they are one of favs to go down.
They are 11/10 in WH shops.
With redarmi coming onside (good), but missing the best of the price (bad), we'll just have £25 @ Evens with Ladbrokes. We need to be careful with these early season bets.
We hve £25 with Ladbrokes ? Evens, QPR to win.

In fact we will use it Rick, (just small ball though), see next Post. We just have to be a bit steady for a while with football, unless there is a real standout.

Thanks Rick.
I asked for feedback, & Camel came on, urged early season caution, but agreed that if we were betting, this would be his Bet of the Week (football). Sadly, I missed the price, but I've had £25 @ Evens, for some Saturday afternoon fun. We are trundling along a few bob ahead, so I think we can risk £25.
We have £25 wth Ladbrokes @ Evens, over 2.5 goals, Derby v Sheffield Wednesday.

The two time unlucky loser in handicaps, The Ducking Stool runs again at 5.25 at Newbury. Fred dodged this last time.
May I assume the chance to lose some well-intended money on this has passed? Would a person in the know confirm that it might be a furlong too far for him?
Having lost money twice on this, seems odd that the owners would send it to a 12F race.

Pretty obvious the trainer and jockey knew this was a Group horse running off 86. Tbh Lee should probably have ridden him as such, in which case the draw wouldn't have been the deciding factor.

Tighty, who's your main goal threat down the right side? I don't think Ntlhe is ready yet, still very raw at left-back.

Thanks Tal.
We'd need a Horse Racing Corry/Expert - or Chompy - to give us a view on that, I don't have a clue.
If it gets some support on Fred, I'll happily do it, but I need to go offline for a bit to sort out the allotment. I should be back in plenty of time though, it does not take me long.

Hi Geo, what are you doing here, don't you have any grinding to do?
Think I appear to have temporarily lapsed from my 12 year betting sabbatical. Camel's fault. Don't tell Tom though, ffs.
Hope Rio has fully rceovered, & of course Shelley & you. What a shocker that was.
