With, one assumes, accompanying background music of the "Our Tune" variety, here is the John Singleton story, subject of perhaps Fred's Daftest Ever Bet.

John tees off @ 10.32 this morning.

Play began @ 6.25 this morning, David Howell was in the first group, & promptly bogeyed the first.

What a horrible feeling that must be when playing a Major - months of anticipation & preparation, first out, & instsa drop a shot.

What a horrible feeling that must be when playing a Major - months of anticipation & preparation, first out, & instsa drop a shot.

..and so David Howell somehow becomes 1 under after 4, & leads. Wink

Of 15 players out on the course, TEN are over par after less than 5 holes played.

But has the clerk of the course been watering it?

Shush, don't start Adzy, horsey & Lord Grumpy off at this time of morning.

Matt Jones manages to start Par - double bogey - double bogey.

Think we ran well there, he is the only player we have not backed.

FFS.......

This appeared on You Tube, followed by a sarcy comment from Stan James.

A chap wrote into the Studio, too, to say "does he REALLY not know that the Nike logo is a swoosh?"......

It appears on You Tube as....

"Betting Guy Hasn't a Clue About Nike"

Must be said, the reactions of my colleagues was awesome. Think that's called "dying".

I'm blown away by the reaction.

Stan James commented on You Tube.....

We're not ones for hyperbole here at StanJames.com, but this presenter must be the most uninformed man in the WORLD!!!

Daily Report

Profit on Month £135.63

Outstanding Bets £2662.20

Open Golfers Backed 56

Number of our Open golfers under Par 0

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=27

A loss of £3 yesterday with the two small bets on TdeF stage winners losing

Perhaps this picture, of yesterday's winner, might be an opportunity to remind you of the funniest thing I wrote last week when the rider from this team went head over heels on the cobbles and I said it was a Lotto Rollover. Tumbleweed. Not even Tal gave me a grudging acknowledgement.

A quick update on the T20 Groups after last night's victory for Surrey over Somerset

Essex are through but we have a Glamorgan sweat

NatWest T20 Blast - South Group
Team    Played    Won    Lost    Tied    N/R    R/R    Points
1    Essex    10    9    1    0    0    0.678    18.0
2    Surrey    11    7    4    0    0    0.624    14.0
3    Hampshire    12    7    5    0    0    0.043    14.0
4    Glamorgan    12    5    4    1    2    -0.088    13.0
5    Somerset    12    5    6    0    1    -0.032    11.0
6    Sussex    12    5    7    0    0    -0.059    10.0

Yorkshire look good but we have a Worcestershire sweat

Team    Played    Won    Lost    Tied    N/R    R/R    Points
1    Lancashire    12    8    2    0    2    0.704    18.0
2    Yorkshire    12    6    3    0    3    0.769    15.0
3    Nottinghamshire    11    6    3    0    2    0.525    14.0
4    Worcestershire    12    6    4    0    2    0.266    14.0
5    Warwickshire    12    5    5    0    2    -0.0040    12.0
6    Northants    11    4    4    0    3    -0.827    11.0

Glamorgan go to essex tomorrow, Worcestershire to Northants

Interesting pitch at Lords. Of course the weather looks scorchio, but nonetheless the draw at 5/4 looks a bit odd. Has to be a result.....India are 7/2 and Kumar looks made for this wicket, old fashioned type swinger. very toss dependent though, so wait and see

Today's main task. Work out how to follow The Open, the Lords Test and the TdeF at once.

Mr T.

Go on there and tell them you have won so much from betting with them that they closed your account. Doubt many Stan James odds setters know that Nike was the Greek goddess of victory.
