this interested me

over the last 38 games, Arsenal would have won the league by 7 points

and 5 of 6 pundits predict them to win it this year on their models

I wont be so ridic to blame Arb for the poor result at Chelts.

It just made a bad mistake when going well and game over.

Apols all.

Partially gutted Bolasie played so well, had him on the bench for my fantasy for a De Bruyne who bowls in as a sub for about 30 mins, grrrrr.

Palace had quite a few half chances and had most of the pressure for the whole game, but the chances I think that were most glaring fell to the Saints. Long nearly had one in the first half, and then at the death with a toughish one on one which Hennessey bailed us out on. Davis had a clear cut header amazingly saved by Hennessey too.

Southampton often played 5 at the back today and it stunted Palace going forward somewhat but we still did enough to create decent openings, but what i want to highlight more in these spots is just how shaky Palace look at the back. The defence don't react well to decent periods of the game with fuck all to do, then periods of intense pressure. I think it is the fact they have to turn on and off that really unsettles them, and with every cross Palace dealt with at the back, even if successfully managed, was done so with bodies flying everywhere and much less aplomb.

So what I am getting at is, if Palace are ever less than evens at home against a team out of form and they look to set up with 5 at the back like the Saints did today, it would be value, nearly against all sides in this league.

Nice tip (the Palace bet) Ant, thanks.

Who would have dreamed that with 40% of the season gone, we'd see Leicester, Palace & Watford in the top 7?

Delighted to see all 3 doing so well.

Yes, was running nicely, Adz.

Probably blown off course mid-jump by that icy, pummelling wind.
