Cheers arb. I didn't get on at 7/2, but still a nice price and barely a sweat.

A poor day for those who followed me yesterday.

Vettel didn't get pole (as expected) and Magnussen was unfortunate not to get out of Q1. Meanwhile in Formula E, the two Mahindra drivers cocked up their qualifying sessions, and suffered problems in the race too - but they were clearly had the two fundamentally quickest cars on the circuit, by some margin too, so the idea was right.

Anyhow today's suggestions:

Race Winner - Sebastian Vettel @ 5/1 with Bet Stars and William Hill. I'm not expecting Lewis to win today - despite his pace. He's not happy at the moment and often makes mistakes when in this mood. With Valtteri starting down in 9th, the door is open for Sebastian. As yesterday, suggest £30.

Points Finish - Felipe Massa @ 2/1 with Bet 365 and Bet Victor. Wild pricing on Felipe with some bookies going EVS. 11/10 is probably the price I would have given, maybe 13/10, certainly not 2/1. Suggest £30.

There is currently no Formula E market available sadly, will keep an eye out.

Massa, best i can do is 11/10, we are closed at bet365 and bet victor

We have BV , booked:

Single Selections
British Grand Prix Felipe Massa ( Williams ) (Points Finish - Race) Odds: 2/1 Stake: 30.00 Possible Return:  90.00

Nice one Peter, another £60 into Fred's coffers.

I like Isner at 7/2 each way for the Grass tournament in Newport. The field is laughably bad for an ATP event. Karlovic and Isner are the standout grass players and are seeded to meet in the final. But Karlovic has a harder draw with Ram, Mannarino, Fritz and big serving Opleka in his half. The top seeds have a bye and then Isner will face a qualifier in last 16 and I don't see much in the way of dangerous floaters in the top half.

He should be rested after a light grasscourt season featuring a few tough losses and will surely be motivated in his home country on a surface that suits him

suggest 25 quid each way lads or choral.

Does anyone think that Swansea are going to struggle this year?
Struggled for most of last season.
Cork gone to Burnley.
Llorente missing the start of the season and linked elsewhere.
Sigurdsson misses trip to USA because of all speculation.
Defeat to Barnet with a strong squad.
I feel that 9/4 to be relegated is value.
Also at a bigger price 10/1 to finish bottom seems too big.

I tipped them for relegation last season and they just wriggled out of it. Think they will struggle again this season. Price is sure to drop should they lose Sigurdsson (and it's only a matter of time before they come to their senses and sell)

There are 3 worse teams than Swansea, but it feels like we're due an 'established' club dropping down.

As this has had a bit of support, and Swansea struggled to a 2-2 draw in America yesterday, I would like to recommend my first bet on the thread, £20 Swansea to finish bottom at 10/1.

Some preliminary thoughts on the Open this week and my early bullets.

Stenson @30-1. Last years champ and tied 3rd last time at RB. Talking down his chances after this weekend, but looks a big price with the rest factored in.

Ryan Fox @250-1. Took a bit of this on Saturday, as he is playing as consistently well over the last few weeks as anyone on the Euro Tour atm. Made some proper mistakes yesterday, but kept coming straight back, and didnt let his head drop. Could be a lively outsider.

As a horses for courses merchant, i cant believe I am forcing myself to have my first ever bet on Harrington, but again at 66s I would feel a bit daft if he played well as a C&D man, who is in form. The 11/4 as Top Irish looks good too as we have a bad fav with Rory in a poor place at the moment, despite his positive press chats.

Casey is just a Top Ten backers dream in majors, and he played Birkdale well last time, despite a dreadful 78 to start. i think he is a better player now and 40s could be an ew play to nothing for a player who was T7 LTO at RB. He also looks a steal at 10-1 for Top GB paying 4 places.

Every Open needs to have a few quid at the under achieving yank, and this time im plumping for big Tony Finau.

Finally, I also cant help feeling i should top up on Rahm, even at almost 7 time the price less than we have in the vault. He could still be value.

Not recommendations at this point, but just helping to get the debate started.

Any particular reason Koepka is as big as 44 on the machine?

Awesome in the US Open, he hasn't played since. Is he carrying an injury?

Looked like a future superstar last month.

Laddies have him at 40s, but BFSB at only 25s.

I guess he is ok, its just a big gulf in opinion.

I'm not suggesting it as a bet, was just surprised at the price.

I'm a huge Koepka fan - was all over him at The Masters - but his erratic play in the weeks leading up to it just put me off in the US Open and went for Pieters instead.

Not playing since winning the USO is a most unusual preparation - especially so for The Open - combined with the fact he is a very high ball hitter I find a little off-putting.

Having said all that I wouldn't be surprised to see him skate in again.

That's what makes me think he might have an injury.

I don't follow golf as closely as I once did, but certainly can't remember a topplayer missing so many tournaments in the heart of a season.
