Would anyone ever manage to match the tales of his youth with that face?

Wellbeck out for months, known before the Transfer Deadline.

Mr Wenger makes it very difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt.
I support the notion any buy should be an improvement to the squad, but an improvement on no one, is anyone.
Arsenal's striking options now reduced to Giroud, Walcott and Campbell. This could be the year . . . . .

He can and has in the past, by no means his preferred position it seems, but maybe that is the master plan.
Maybe we will revert to the 4/6/0 formation.

So can I, or Wilshire or Gibbs, does not make it right. If I had paid £42 million for a player I would play him in his preferred position.

Alright then well who would you have bought? Who was available? Last year Wenger spent £15m on an average striker in Welbeck, you think we should go and buy another Welbeck?

When is Walcott going to finally, if ever, earn his huge salary which he has told everyone he is worth for years? He wants to play up front he has always said. Crack on then son and show us how you are worth £100k+ a week because i think you are one of the most over paid players in the EPL for the last 8 years. He likes a super star contract but a squad player responsibility.

Neither player improves the squad! Giroud and Welbeck are already 2 international standard strikers, Walcott and Sanchez can also play there if needed. The only way we should spend if someone even better proves themselves available. I would never want Arsenal to be one of those teams that spends for the sake of it and has a history of comedy transfers like some other clubs, spending does not guarantee success otherwise Spurs would have won it 2 seasons ago. Wenger has spent very wisely in recent times. If he thought nobody was available who is better than what we've already got, i'm going to trust him on that.
