I'd rather finish out of the top 4 anyway. Clearly we need to stop pretending we can compete with the biggest boys and instead maybe we'll enjoy a run like Man U are having in the Europa. Finishing out of Europe completely gives us a chance to recuperate and rebuild, hopefully getting rid of the lolaverage players we have in the squad right now without major repercussions. In a way, Arsene has done his job getting us to where we are financially and with the clubs reputation in still decent nick. The next manager will have time and funds to get Arsenal back to winning ways again.

Not blaming him for getting a good deal but Theo Walcott being on £150K per week is symptomatic of our plight.
He looked like he was hiding today.

Alan Shearer: Arsenal have stopped playing for Arsene Wenger, his 21-year reign is coming to an end

however...
Arsene Wenger will tell Arsenal he wants to stay beyond this season

I think the win, lose or draw part renders it fairly irrelevant Tighty.
What would be interesting to see is if the average run per match was significantly different this season to any other, or even in 2017 compared to any other year. Given the 'players aren't playing for Wenger anymore' narrative I've seen floating around, that could be an indicator or even sprints per 90 mins.

Surely this has much more to do with possession rather than lack of effort

How does a successful business that is obviously its lowest ebb for many a year, with no bright clouds on the horizon, let its manager openly act like he calls all the shots?
I find it hard to believe that whilst seemingly in freefall for so long AW is allowed to talk like he decides how long he stays.
It beggars belief that billionaire shareholders allow this.
But then I have been amazed he has been kept on for the last 5 years........what do I know.
We really need a "shakes head in disbelief" emoji.

Maybe one of these days you'll realize that AW has the job for as long as he wants it.
