I see Tom Queally is back from trying his hand in the states

Anyone know if he did any good please?

Anyone know if he's lost his position at the Skeletons?

Did he ever do any good here, when he wasn't riding Frankel

Didnt do much, went to Golden Gate which was slightly strange for a number of reasons (very small jockey pool, very established links relatively poor prize money for the states)

I would be amazed if he made money after expenses.

I think I am right in saying he has a small percentage in Frankel still and all his relatives Smiley That may explain why he barely rides here and often looks less than bothered riding for a 1k around Lingfield.

Still can do the job for John Butler and other punting yards when asked still.

A la Lester Piggott - sort of.

Seems similar Queally not even near the top 10 flat jocks for me now anyway if he ever was which was doubtful.

Still amazed he didn't ruin Frankel with that 2000 Guineas effort. Some horse to come back from that.

Thank you

I believe he gets £250K each January  from Frankels stud fees

I know he is moaning because he gets very few quality rides now

If he's lost Fanshaws support then he will end up with nil quality

https://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/southwell/15:00/winner

Had a small win only bet on Oriental Relation here at 40s

Probably one of the better class seen anywhere let alone Southwell, plenty of negatives might have gone at the game might still be a tad high in the handicap and most of the pace is drawn high (he is as quick as these on his day)

However had 3 runs for Balding since leaving Given, first wasnt fit and showed his usual pace second was at Newcastle where it is very hard to make all and probably not his track and last time went very very wide at Wolverhampton which was a tad strange.

Hard to think he is still only 7 so should still be competitive from in and around this mark, may need an easier race rather than a drop but at 40s makes appeal

Certainly ran better battled back well enough to finish 7th without ever looking like winning

On a day we might be better advised to watch from the sidelines, couldnt resist trying to find a couple of likely soft ground types at Windsor came up with

3.20 Morning Skye 5-1
2.20 Orient Princess 25-1

Bacacarat 2.25 Newmarket  8-1.  Balding's last 11 flat runners produced 3 wins and 4 seconds,  Sire's course stats pretty good and form of last run working out ok.

Plus a fun Yankee while we wait for the next AW racing:
