Everyone has missed this week's most important Brexit intervention, says this article:

Northern Ireland’s police haven’t been given a plan for the border

Your periodic reminder that the UK Brexit choice is a border, on the island of Ireland, or the Irish Sea, or an exceptionally close relationship with the EU.

The UK Government currently rules out all of these options.

..and cabinet still doesn’t have a settled position..

The ugliest secret of Brexit is what the government quietly plans to do to your salary

bit of a dramatic headline, but interesting take

Tony Blair urges Theresa May to prepare for Brexit date delay

(he's right, but no one wants to listen to him!)

Lots of stories regarding big business and the pressure they're applying.

Do Remain think corporate lobbyists should influence government policy?

sure. no different from any other economy stakeholder

in fact they have a fiduciary duty to their owners and shareholders to try to do so

absence of a single market, customs union has big implications for their bottom line and where they should operate.

furthermore the business secretary should be representing their interests in cabinet which it appears he is trying to do

Lobbying is ok I think and obvs is part of mainstream political/economic activity. I think some of the approaches taken by by big corporates go beyond my interpretation of lobbying. Trouble with my view is its.like arguing for dark smoke filled rooms versus transparency so perhaps open lobbying and communication to the public a la.Airbus is fair enuff even if it grates with me.
