EU grant NO extension. Panic in Westminster. No deal is default on 29th. Majority of MP's have no choice than to push through May's deal.
If Parliament has already rejected No Deal by then (without the caveats that they've tried to add into today's motion) then the alternative option would be to revoke Article 50, which can be done unilaterally.

It’s been bizarre throughout the process that the middle aged and overweight think their cause, at some stage in the future, will be aided by violence/threats.

Don't see how the referendum was a mistake if the majority voted for it.
Triggering Article 50 too early was the mistake.

The first sentence doesn’t make sense. It’s specifically why we (and every other modern democracy) have representative democracy and not a series of populist votes to determine issues.

If most people wanted to leave the EU what alternative method would be more appropriate to determine that desire than asking them?

If most people wanted to leave the EU what alternative method would be more appropriate to determine that desire than asking them? Clearly we just see this differently, in terms of how it should be. It seems we already discussed this quite a lot on Monday. Put simply, the people don’t understand most issues sufficiently well for populist votes/referenda to be a workable system of government. John MW did a good job of explaining why.

I thought Socialists were into all that "power to the people" stuff?
Guess that's not the case if Socialists think the people are too stupid & ill-informed to handle power.
Socialists actually have contempt for the people, interesting insight.

😁 The reason why no one has government by public referendum (ill informed/wilfully ignorant etc) has nothing to do with socialism. So your post makes absolutely no sense.
