Ian Blackford calling out Johnson as a racist in PMQ:

Sad state of affairs when even Theresa May can own you with her response.

Really?

"I believe any Conservative PM in the future will be better for Scotland than the SNP"

But tbf it was said with more conviction than anything uttered last night.

So Rory is gone and then there were four.

Boris has half the MPs and can now engineer who he wants in the final 2. Looks all but done and dusted already.

I didn't realise the final 2 had a month of campaigning!! Good job there is not much else going on.

Fking nonsense, they should have a week max.....pretty sure most will have chosen already. To Kuku’s delight we all know who will be the next anyway

Isn't it sad when people resort to violence when they don't get what they want, or hear a truth they don't like. Cheesy

So who actually can take down Boris?

If Boris is as duplicitous as I think, think I quite like that Gove did the dirty on him previously.

He always makes a great speech but suspect that is more front than substance.

Not sure Sad Jav is respected enough, but quite like him.

And I don't think I could put up with years of Jeremy #unt jokes.

But please, no Boris.

The Evening Standard is backing Boris.

https://www.standard.co.uk/comment/comment/evening-standard-comment-we-back-boris-as-the-pm-to-turn-britain-around-a4171816.html

"...ask yourself which of these potential Prime Ministers is most likely to persuade the Conservative Party to vote for a repacked version of the existing deal? The one with the greatest credibility with hard Brexiteers.

Indeed, which of these possible leaders could you imagine making the even bigger leap and asking the country again for its views?

The candidate who first came up with the idea of two referendums back in early 2016. Of course, he denies all this — and, like the other candidates, promises to get a renegotiated withdrawal agreement out of the EU.

Perhaps he will. Most likely he will not."

One of the problems for Boris is he can't really use tactics now on the voting or it's too obvious. He would surely be far more comfortable facing Hunt than Gove.

If he suddenly loses 20 votes in the final round and Hunt picks them up then will be a hard one to pass off as coincidence.
