Another very good read from Chris Grey

Brexit has failed, but the Brexiters have already won.

Dominic Cummings who thinks he is playing some game theory strategy but may in fact be playing chicken with an oncoming train

some of it abstract, but another compelling read

This was a remarkable tweet fromthe Brexit secretary two days ago

https://twitter.com/SteveBarclay/status/1166765868891725825?s=20

"The car industry’s ‘just in time’ supply chains rely on fluid cross-Channel trade routes. >1,100 trucks filled with car parts cross seamlessly from EU into UK each day. We need to start talks now on how we make sure this flow continues if we leave without a deal"

its 60 days til Brexit and "We need to start talks now on how we make sure this flow continues"

we have known this for three years!

Wonder what the judge will make of a case brought by a fella who prorogued parliament himself, particularly for a more spurious reason, avoiding the expense scandal

Think someone needs to take legal proceedings agains Corbyn’s powder blue jacket:shirt combo he’s been wearing all week. Looks like he just stumbled out of a wedding and gives the burgundy coach driver ensemble a challenge for worst 20th century fashion crime.

Juncker, “We need Britain, personally I don’t think Britain needs the European Union”

Even Juncker admits that Britain doesn’t need the EU. It’s over! 🇬🇧

Iain Duncan Smith “During the past week we have seen the biggest manufactured display of fake outrage I can remember”

Boris suspends total of 4 sitting days for parliament and comrade Corbyn calls for activists to “shut down” Britain’s cities, to occupy bridges and blockade roads. We see the usual protests by placard waving vegans and Boris compared to Hitler by the loony John McDonnell. Just lol.

Please produce sources. that was a quote from 2015, which i assume you have got from a facebook page or some such?

Its not an up to date quote from a recent speech

This comment by Professor Andrew Goddard, president of the Royal College of Physicians, in The Times is quite telling

Critical of rhetoric, this guy then uses rhetoric to scare people about no deal - where's his detail and evidence concerning exactly why we will run out of medicines in the event of no-deal

Marr saw two politicians in awkward positions

Michael Gove won’t commit the government to abiding by any new law passed by Parliament this week to stop no-deal Brexit on October 31. Reserves right to wait and see what proposals say. Think that through.  a former Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary, will not commit the government to complying with the rule of law

He also said "Everyone will have the food they need," (though hinted at price rises) I assume that was rejected as the Brexit information campaign slogan.

Keir Starmer meanwhile said that in the event of a law to end the risk of no deal, Labour might not want to pursue an election, which is contrary to the central plank of Corbyn's "policy" for the last three years. The risk being that if we do not leave by 31/10 Labour would go into an election being painted by Johnson as "anti-brexit" and get mullered in their leave voting heartland seats

September is going to be a dramatic month

* suspends four currently scheduled sitting days and removes the option for MPs to vote in favour of sitting for a further 23 days. The extra bit obv significantly more impactful than the first as you well know  Wink

The occupy bit is obv pretty eyeroll
