Would say looks like we're back to the hat, but I'm guessing it never came off Grin

Assuming manipulation of everything to make/preserve political capital and cling on to credibility is very safe ground to be on. As you now I work in public service, everything I’ve learnt from my professional experience tells me they are under political pressure with regard to this reporting. I know I’ve indulged or even encouraged the tin foil hat jokes but I’m about as far away from a conspiracy theorist as you can imagine.

Best wishes to your dad, I was recently a member of the Oramorph fan club as well. I was only in severe pain for about 48 hours, you get to the point where the morphine is all you can think about and your eyes can’t stop following the person who administers it, looking for some indication that they’re heading for the medicine cabinet. 🤞The quarantine is as short a possible and he’s well enough to leave soon.

I'm only jesting, I know you're not on team Eddie Bravo. Just on team dig the conservatives out no matter what, lol. They're under more than just political pressure, we all know that.

Cheers, he's on planet Oramorph at the moment, and just had to pay for his TV package to be extended for a few more days. Can't take him anything in, as he's in isolation after the incident with the other guy getting a fever. Only had 3/4 days clothes, so having to do his own washing, lol.

Dropped Sophie of at Nottingham City Hospital at 7.15.
Sat in my car for the next 3 hours as I wasn't allowed on the ward.
10.30 met Sophie in the reception area and went through to theater.
11.20 they started and at 11.23 Frank Bertie Hopkin was born weighing 7lb and 15oz.
12.15 through to recovery and 13.00 they moved Sophie back to the ward so I had to leave.

Quite surreal but the majority of the staff were superb as always and everyone is healthy and should be home tomorrow.

couple of interesting things in this

UK was arguably complacent, wasted 10 days on herd immunity, still isn't testing as it should and Johnson's rating soars

Trump has risen!

I was listening to a news report on BBC from France today.

It seems they only count hospital deaths for the virus.

Dozens have died in care/nursing homes but not included in the figures.

Seems very weird, Kush would not be impressed if the UK was reporting on that basis.

Great news Stu, congratulations to all of you.

I think it’s fair to say that the number released for England today is as likely to be true as the latterly amended 28 was.

I thought it was unclear whether we were going on to that going forward or whether the ONS were just going to update the figures with what has happened so far, with the implication that we could have daily figures about hospital deaths and less frequent updates from the ONS in the same manner.

Has anyone seen it clearly written down whether that's an ongoing change or the first of an occasional update?

I have read, only relayed by journalists, that the ONS will update non hospital deaths on a weekly basis. The first report however will cover March 13 to March 31, with weekly updates after that.

We should be reporting all the known virus deaths as accurately as possible. I guess this is another problem when comparing countries figures when they aren’t on a like for like basis.

It seemed today the media were starting to ask why our numbers don’t make sense. If someone is manipulating the numbers, it’s someone with a poor grasp of what exponential means.
