I was gonna actually post a thread asking something along similar lines. What is everyones strategy for the last few minutes of a rebuy tourney if you arent sitting with a massive stack? For example, there's 15 minutes to go till last 3 hands of rebuy, you have slightly more than the original buy in stack. Do you now start to push a little harder and maybe use a few rebuys in the hope of catching up with a few of the bigger stacks before the break and if it goes wrong you will have enough chips to rebuy and top up at the break or do you sit tight on the stack you have till after the break, save your money and try to outplay the bigger stacks with close to the minimum starting chips during the freezeout stage.
Generally Ive noticed that, in live casino freezeouts, the looser players that see a lot of flops are usually the players that have the monster chip stacks at the end of rebuys. I try to see as many flops as possible for as cheap as possible unless I actually have a premium hand in which case Ill be in there raising. Ive also been experimenting with Negreanu's philosophy of raising every pot pre flop if you are playing the hand and then trying to outplay the remaining players on the flop.

btw..was this at cincin? and (assuming it is) I might have to show up there for a cash game with this guy.
Let me know when you're gonna be there Boldie, I could always do with the extra cash BTW - Its a fairly decent game to sit in with around £50, its so easy to double up.

It is pretty outrageous that 56 hands in the blinds were so high that it was all in or fold, they must have been doing the classics laddies blinds up every 10 hands

Pre flop play aside the play isnt bad, you're pushing in 1st representing the straight, unfortunately you're getting 2 calls by guys with the straight. You outdrew them but that always happens in Omaha anyway. Dunno what outonalimb is doing.....looking for a runner runner low draw? I pushed because i was sure i was favorite to win the hand, When i saw the flop i got a tad excited!! You're very rarely going to be ahead on that flop but you do have draws to beat anything your opponent could have, def justifies pushing IMO

I actually thought this heat might be OK, Jimmy White, Phil Taylor and Steve Davis all play poker a lot on a biggish stage while leilani has been getting tutored by Roy Brindley but the play was pretty awful and comfounded by Austin Healey, the calling machine, winning after calling with any 2 and hitting. Worst call of the game (and there was a few contenders) must have been Davis calling a final bet with his pocket 4's on a paired board with 4-5 overcards......what is he beating???
