As mentioned earlier i do this thing called dead man burpee.  It is a 10 min film and when i tried to up load it to u tube or photobucket i had problems. It was too long at 10 Min's any way and bored me so god knows how it would bore any one else.  So i clumsily cut a chunk out to get it to just over 2 Min's and stuck it on utube. You see the first few reps and then the finish, it Fooking hurts and at the end it is an effort to lift your body weight off the floor, you bigger chaps would find it even worse.  Any way this is what it is i remind you that my target is 100 in 10 Min's.

Also some time ago someone mentioned triathlon, i did one about 100 years ago and really enjoyed it. So i started to resarch them after my neighbour told me he did a spirit one. The end result is i am going to watch one on Sunday with a view to perhaps having ago at one in a years time, they do  a kind of fun run version too.  Seems a great way to get exercise, get fit, lose weight and spread the  training burdon over a number of equally demanding areas.  While looking at clips on utube i found this one which i think epitomizes the generally feeling of such events.

Okay. On Monday I weighed 15st 4lb
Will be following original plan but gonna aim for 14st, so 18lb in 8 weeks.
Will make Sunday Nov 6th my final weigh in day.
£20 per every lb not achieved to a local charity.

To put this in context I haven't weighed at low as 14st for 12 years, the 14st 7lb I reached for the last challenge was as low as I have been!!!

Gl sir, get it done

Managed to sneek into the gym for a  run on the treadmill today, 5k in 30.30, should be able to crush that soon.

Went to a Christening at the WE had a few beers and some cake, first time off the rails for a while , lets see what the end result of that is at the weigh in tomorow.  Goner do the 100 burp before hand hope to crack 60.

After cycle home for work up a big hill my thighs where killing me and i thought that i would give the burpees a miss, but by time i parked up i decided to man up and have a shot at 60( my best ever), miss by 2 so well pleased considering i didnt want to do any thing.  Some how feels sweeter

Weigh in complete lost another 1lb so half way now, not bad considering a bad weekend of relaxation.  Press ups>>> only 2 goes this week no increase from 15 i am afraid, need to get a decent programme sorted.

New role started at work this week so routine up the creek, but will sort out a proper/schedule shortly, but at the moment just wanna burn fat and get fitter then should see a big improvement overall.

Summary this week:

5k ran in just over 30 mins
15 press ups
58 DMB
4 days cycle to and from work

Gl in your exercise guys.

I'm having a go at the intermediate fasting thing - I'm doing 5-600 calories on each of Wed/Thu and eating normally (don't count, but probably 2500-3000 I suspect) the other 5 days of the week. Been doing it last 2 weeks. Finding it surprisingly ok, but then I have got a lot of stored fat to live off. Even back on the 4 mornings per week workouts, including Wed and Fri mornings (before breakfast), so 2 days of fasting then a workout is an interesting one. Lost net 3lb from Wed/Wed last week including a fairly big weekend. From Wed to Fri mornings I've lost 7lb both weeks, not surprising I guess. I'm happy with net 3lb/week if I can keep that going. Off to DisneyWorld in 5 weeks for a fortnight, so if I can lose 1stone+ by then I'll be happy. Sure I'll put it all back on - we're on a "free" dining plan, and I'm not one to waste an opportunity like that Smiley.

Ok, so rather than going for a weight loss bet, I am doing the following to improve my energy levels. I've started work on the sequel to my book (thin spam attempt) and I'll need my energy levels high for the extra work ill be doing. So I'm keeping it simple.

Starting tomorrow, until xmas day, I have to:

Go to the gym three times a week (things like outdoor runs or hikes over 2 hours count as 'gym', but my usual dog walks etc don't), including one strength session a week. I have to pay a fiver for every session I miss.
Monday to Friday I also have to drink a litre of water every day, I pay a quid for every one I miss.

I'm hoping the above two things will serve well as 'keystone' habits which are the catalyst for other good behaviour.

However as additional incentive, if I manage to weigh in at 13st 7lb by Xmas day, any forfeits I have accumulated are wiped out. I'm not planning specifically to get to that weight, but it's a good secondary challeng if I have a bad couple of weeks at some point. I currently weigh 14st 2lb.

I also have to post here at least once a week. fiver for every week with no post.

Come on guys, final crimbo push, let's be having you

I'm training for an olympic length triathlon and generally trying to lose some weight and put on some muscle.

This week -
I've enetered the 2nd week of the 100 press up challenge starting on level 3 - no probs so far.
I swam 2k in one session , of which 1k was front crawl, trying to get to 3k of front crawl with 1k at as fast as i can go by March.
Done 3 sessions on the bike - trying to get to a stage where i can do 40k in an hour and a half by March
Played 5 as side once
Skipped for an hour total
Did some circuit training - want to do more
Played golf twice

My motivation is to beat my friends who are going to be doing it to and that my first child is due in 7 weeks and i want to be fit as a fiddle so i manage it all better.

Gl anyone doing anything.

I should add that last time I worked on a book I didnt have much free time and I barely made it into the gym, so although my challenge may not seem tough, it will be harder than it sounds because of the fact I will be really busy

Bad week this week. Been ill for a few days so not done any gym work. Weighed in at 15st 4lb this morning, same as Monday.
Leaves me with 7 weeks to lose 18lb
