^^^^^
Audible gasps from the collective Freddies......
But we aren't greening out!
We are betting that Liverpool go through and one (or more) of the other big clubs get knocked out.
Even if all go through, we should be able to get out flat.

I received an email off StanJames earlier saying if you place a winning bet on Champs League tonight at 2/1 or better they will give a free bet to the same value.
5 or more Champ League games (5 from
to have over 2.5 goals is 11/5. I was taking this bet anyway, most are slight odds on, Real game is 1/3 for example.
NOTE: My email said up to £50, but the offer on their daily advent calender says up to £25, so £25 would be fine.

Think we should be taking the evens the Royal Baby is a boy
http://www.oddschecker.com/novelty/william-and-kate/gender-of-baby
Boy should be a marginal shade of odds on if the pregnancy was completely random given first pregnancy statistics favouring boys slightly- however surely they are "trying for a boy"- (
certain techniques and timings are said to add small %s to the chances of conceiving each sex
), as all Royals generally are which should give us a marginal edge taking evens.
Recommend a solid £25 at evens
Examples required please Aaron.

I like the Liverpool bet outright. Would reassess after next rounds draws etc but doubt I'd want to trade, it's fine as a bet to win as it is at the moment

I've just been knocked back to a tenner on the 'What day will the baby be born on' market.
That will teach me to open accounts in the name of HRH Prince William and try to bet obscure markets with my first bet.
Monday ftw btw
Tuesday's and Monday's are highest % wise. I typed out a post and deleted it last night as basic reason was because most c sections are pencilled in at start of weeks and also women naturally relax more at weekends so come into labour at end of it
You ARE taking the piss, right?

The magic of the Cup.
Anything can happen.
Well, not really.
Only 3 times in the last 24 years has the Cup been won by a team other than Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
The "big" clubs almost certainly will provide the winner.
Let's have a look at the third round draw this year:
West Ham v Man Utd
Southampton v Chelsea
Swansea v Arsenal
Man City v Watford
Tottenham v Coventry
Lincoln or Macclesfield v Liverpool
The top 3 matches are very tough, Tottenham have an easy draw but their commitment to this competition must be doubtful if they are pushing for a Champions league spot. Same goes with Man City and the title (although with a bigger squad, they probably will have a decent crack at this).
But with nothing else to play for and a a gimme in third round, I think 11/1 about Liverpool is too big (Blue Squirrel and Sid James)
I suggest backing them and laying off on Betfair (currently 11.5-12) just before the fourth round draw is made.
Suggest £100 Liverpool to win the FA Cup at 11/1
Incred.
Umm, thanks Keith.

8/1 it's ginger
12/1 they call it Diana

The most popular day for babies to make their entrance is Tuesday, followed by Monday. Sunday is the slowest day, with 35.1 fewer births than average. Scheduled c-sections and induced labors have a big influence on the fact that far fewer babies are born on the weekend, but spontaneous (non-scheduled) deliveries occur less often on the weekend too.

I was serious for the bet, the added piece of info that Monday and Tuesdays are more likely for C sections added to the fact that Monday July 1st would be on Diana's birthday probably makes Monday the slight fav imo.

Does anyone think Olympiakos are very short now?
I can see a decent team in there but probably have to allow for 2-3 young lads in at this stage. At the end of the day Arsenal are the side that need a result too.
Arsenal Squad: Szczesny, Vermaelen, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Squillaci, Coquelin, Arshavin, Jenkinson, Gervinho, Chamakh, Angha, Ansah, Hajrovic, Meade, Monteiro, Shea, Akpom
Olympiakos already qualified for the Europa league and have a big game away at Pana this weekend.

Let me get my pen.
I made a list of simple rules for posting on Fred a few weeks back:
1. Always lay Liverpool
2. Never advocate greening out unless Camel is on holiday in Borneo.
3. Don't argue with Dubai or Hector
I had it laminated as well...
Makes Ant, with suggestions for Palace to remain unbeaten untuil the next millenium, look almost sensible.
Come back to me when I am wrong with this, ha.
Which leads me to the bet suggestion of Palace at home to beat Blackpool at 2.2. I think 1.95 is a fair price and 2 or above represents value.
Watford at 2.45 at home to beat Hull as well seems to be appealing and these two are official tips, to hopefully be supported by others.

My daughter was born on a Wednesday by natural birth. Hope this helps.

There are rumours circulating on Twitter that Doncaster have been hit by a virus and are going to struggle to field a team away at Crewe in the JPT this evening. You can still get better than evens on a Crewe win at most bookies. Worth a flutter?

I think they are very very short- flip side is Arsenals dreadful record when already qualified and the fact that there is arguably not as much difference between coming first and second in your group this year as normal. Must always be correct to wade in against the tide at this point tho
