In a couple of weeks when there has been lots of good British News (eg Fran Jones won a 125 and is now provisional top 100), Tara Moore has just got her 4 year ban reinstated.
21 tests in that Colombian tournament, 3 seemingly independent players all tested positive to the same steroid for the first time. One that Colombian farmers use on livestock. Tara should have known this according to the wankers in charge.
Excellent timing straight after two other players who ducked a drug ban won at Wimbledon.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but Dan Evans got a wildcard into the Citi Open draw, presumably as a previous champion. Good to see
Also good to see Raducanu paired with Rybakina in the doubles. Might try and catch some of that later.

yeah he won it 2 years ago and gave up the chance to defend it last year to help send off Andy.

Emma and partner pulled out of doubles semi half way through match, not sure if injury or if it's preserving energy as both still in singles

She was suffering with the heat in the earlier match, and just hadn't recovered enough, and started suffering again. It was over 40 degrees and humid.
She is playing the best she has in years, so hopefully is going to be ok later. It is bad for them all, and a few others have suffered to.
She is back in the seeds for the US Open, so a very positive week regardless of her ability to play later.

Was a bit too early, as she ended up the week ranked 33. Think she should be safe for a seed though, as she has no points to defend before the seeds are announced, so just has to win a couple of games to get in.
In other news Fran Jones won another 125 today, that is two in 3 weeks, so she won't have to do qualifying.
Also seems a lot of the lower ranked British men are playing well right now, with George Loffhagen winning a challenger today. Lot of players ranked around 200 on the up.

And got Raducanu's points wrong. Her points from Washington last year have just come off, so she needs another 100 points or so still. That isn't so hard in 1000s, but harder than I implied.

Think she will need to make a 1/4 final this week to get back inside the seeding
