And always choose the loo with a wall on one side. Then you only have to keep an eye on two open sides as yer sat there instead of three.
Keeping in mind we chicks usually have a hand bag
and shopping stuff with us that we don't want stolen.
Some men have a hand bag too, I'm not mentioning names.

Great set up.
Give it a week or so, if they don't come, move it further away and then sneak it back a bit at a time when they're used to it.
How is that going to work without trees or shrubs in the yard?
I'd them hanging on a clothes line and the feckers wouldn't call to feed. When you said it was because we had no placed for them to hide in case of danger, I switched them to the front garden on the edge of really tall conifers and STILL no joy! We've 3 types of feeders too. Peanuts, seeds and fat balls.
If we get one of those posh feeder hanger thingys they'll turn up?!
Have you tried baking them a cheese cake?
We're on a bit of a diet and I doubt the birds would ever get a look in at the cheesecake if it were made. Any other suggestions smart arse?

I was beginning to think that these were men-only considerations.
What about other logic-fuelled rituals, like those involving cooking or shaving for instance?
Even though we have hot water on tap these days, I still boil the kettle for a shave.
Clean teeth in cold water while kettle boils.
Pour about half a pint of boiling water into the sink, add a little cold from the tap.
Rinse bristles with shaving brush using water as hot as I can stand.
Add shaving soap to brush.
Lather face.
Rinse brush.
Shave twice, once to get the worst off, then again carefully for a smooth finish, rinsing blade in hot water between strokes.
Let whiskery water out and rinse sink.
Put remaining hot water into sink, add a little cold and wash face.

Used to happen all the time to people in New York. Not happened on this side of the planet to be fair, but the habit's still there.

Cat Lady next door has loads of cats, but I've not seen them in our garden with a bit. Hoping Archie will send out a signal to all the birdies that they're safe now. Eating the cats would be a bonus.

just because people are polite at work and say your tea is lovely does not make it so. it is not possible to brew tea without boiling water. water is not boiling when mixed with milk. you cannot overcome science
and scrubbing cups clean with a paper towel? why not use something that will actually clean them?

And while I'm thinking of it...what's your routine for cleaning teeth?
Wet or dry for toothbrush? Wet or dry for paste? And if you wet at any point, what point do you do yer wetting?
I use a dry toothbrush, put paste on, then run lot under tap to wet before brushing.

Cold always. Hot tap is from the storage tank so it'll have germans in it.

lol @ 'people are polite at work'
I take your point about the physics but imo and that of my colleagues, the tea tastes great and is aesthetically pleasing, ergo boiling water doesn't matter. I started putting the milk in before the water because leaving a bag mashing often produced a scum on top.
On the cleaning point; the cups get cleaned with detergent once a day by the, errrr, cleaner. I'm the only who bothers even rinsing the cups between rounds other than that. Why do you think it needs something other than water to get them clean? It's a little light staining from one or two cups of tea not dirt per se. Each person uses the same cup every time so germs aren't an issue.

your use of the word scrub led me to believe that there was some serious cleaning involved/needed
