To bring this thread back to it's correct level -
I once had a piss standing next to Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards

Reminds me I once had a piss at Darlington station next to David Bellamy.  Whole thread reminded me of a pretty funny story from Paul Gardeners blog revilving around Des O'Connor. http://goldenballs-wwwpaulsblogcom.blogspot.com/ It is the top story.

1. Used to live next door (and my mum still lives next door to their dad) to Basil & Craig Richards (Basil played for Warrington & Craig played for Bradford Bulls) Their cousin Dean Richards was a BCAFC defender (Bradford City Athletic Football Club) player who recently died of a brain hemorrhage aged 36, so sad Sad

2. Bumped into Graham Taylor at the services after an England match when he asked me 'do you know where I can get some food?' my response..'how the feck should I know, I 've been to the England match'...his response...'aye love..so have I'  Wink

3. Sat on Gary glitters knee during 'do ya wanna be in my gang' circa 1977 though I can't be exactly sure of the date as I was a mini-me at the time

4. PERSONALLY met Bodie & Doyle...(AVENGERS FOR YOU YOUNG UNS)...signed mi arm an everyfink

more laterz

Davey Payne (Spider the saxophonist with Ian Drury) became a good friend and regular customer during my time as taximan, living just a few doors from our office, many other minor celebrities carried during this time also
