I assume she can't actually be but have always thought she comes across as being completely thick. Wonder if she's ever read a book.

Well, I would expect the University College of North Staffordshire had a library, the University of Essex probably did too, and she studied economics at the first, and post-grad studies on British Government and Politics at the latter.

She hides her knowledge well though.

This is a delicious interview. (Only 2 minutes).

Well played the interviewer.

Nice preamble too.

Bit quiet on here nowadays........is it just because now the Tories are in and Brexit is happening, people finally realise whining actually doesn’t work?  Cool

Probably.

Now we just have to wait until people realise that gloating doesn't help either.

Course it does!!!

It's a shame we butt heads so often.

As well as being one of the people on here that I disagree with most often, you are also one of those I most admire.

Sometimes, I wish I could be the bigger man. (I'm not talking waistlines here)

I’m actually quite curious, Red. What is it that you admire about Woodsey?

(Sorry if you were waiting for Woodsey to ask)

He works hard and he plays hard. He doesn't ask anyone for anything.

He's very bright but at the same time very self-deprecating.

He's great company IRL and when he's gambling he's the same win or lose.

All admirable traits, but the thing I admire most is...

He's travelled the world more than anyone I know except perhaps David Attenborough and Alan Whicker.  I'm so jealous.

Marv.

Don't really read Twitter comments, but couldn't help notice this one when I opened the link.

I agree with the sentiment but please don't use the word stammering as an insult. You're helping to perpetuate the stigma, negativity and lack of understanding about stammering, which causes people who genuinely stammer huge problems and, potentially, mental health issues.

He quite rightfully replied that he said she was stammering, because that is what she was doing, not to insult her.

People are loooooooons.

#OhJeremyCorbyn is trending on Twitter

His most recent tweet is a new year message pledging to fight fight fight rather than any kind of mea culpa about losing three elections on the bounce https://twitter.com/jeremycorbyn/status/1211947120112099328

I've had quite a meaty bet on Jezza to still be the leader in July 2020 at 54-1 https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/politics/market/1.120629015

Given how much the Corbynistas have buried their head in the sands about the election result, and he himself claims to have 'won the argument' I just think there is a real chance something batshit crazy will happen to keep him in power.

Oh, and happy new year

This bet has a one outer IMO if COVID-19 causes the delay of the leadership contest announcement.

Tinned peaches, anyone?

Still have stocks of them for when the impact of Brexit hits us.

In the meantime I shall be surviving on a diet of pasta and bog roll.

I don’t get the bog roll thing......sure I understand buying food for the more dramatic types but why the hoarding of big roll?

Because people are morons, is the only conclusion I have reached.
